Kashiwagi Yuki finally announced her graduation, which will be in April of 2024.
She'll have over 17 years in AKB at that point.
When she joined AKB, Wakana, Hanana, Mifu and Aatan weren't even born!

Here's a video Yukirin did where she just sang one H!P hit after another. She's really a dai-fan, or at least she was back in the OG days.

This video was interesting. It's a year old but the YouTube gods put it on my feed today. Joey aka "The Anime Man" interviews a retired "chika idol" (underground idol) about her her 2 year idol career. The woman is German/Korean but she was scouted on the street to be a Japanese underground idol. Being a Chika Idol isn't the same as being a mainstream idol like MM, it's more like UUG. But regardless, spoiler alert, she didn't find it all that much fun, or profitable.

Not that I'm discrediting her or anything but people's obsession with the super evil dark side of the industry is so tiring. As if entertainment isn't effed up everywhere and women aren't sexualized and targeted everywhere. When he goes, "yeah guys, pay up enough and you might get some pu**y" eugh, just kill me. You ever try and tell people you like Japanese girl groups? I did once and they told me "aren't those girls are abused and stalked???" |(

I guess it's interesting to me because (I believe that) H!P stands out as an exception to all that seedy, creepy idol stuff. So it's kind of like, but for the grace of UF, there would go our idols. I mean, when I look at the "Hello! Project no Chotto Omoshiroi Hanashi ~Kimi ni Tsutaetai Monogatari Season 3~ #93" video Amped posted earlier, my impression is that Moe just lives a charmed life. A good relationship with her parents, her dream job, beautiful, successful; she must wake up every day with that million yen smile on her face. But without H!P we might never have heard of her, or perhaps she'd be stuck at one of those more competitive and ruthless agencies.

I mean true, I'm sure some of my acquaintances would think there's barely any difference, or might be ideologically opposed to idols in general. But honestly so what? I'm "ideologically opposed" to boxing and pro football, nobody cares. Why should I care if they're opposed to my spectator sport of choice, which isn't giving anybody brain damage? :wait:
