Juice=Juice's twitter acknowledges the 500k+ views, plus a cool off-shot. It is now up to 550k.

That's a plausible theory. On the other hand, if that is really the case then it would seem the algorithm could be gamed every year's pride month. In which case, we might see a bunch of other artists releasing stuff with "Pride" in the name of the work.

Given J=J's lackluster sales performances recently, I would say sales would provide a much better gauge of whether the song is really popular or something else is at play. I hope it sells well too, because J=J is such a great group and needs that boost.

People do absolutely game the algo every year with every holiday, I think Pride Bright happened to catch an upswing combined from a few factors like that people are interested in the group that just got a new member this week who also just had their 10th anni.
Really, one of the biggest factors that leads me to this theory is that I cannot recall any other time they've launched an MV when the other A-side is still Title TBA AND the single itself won't come out in over a month (it probably has happened in the 25 years of H!P but I can't think of one). Given that J=J's sales have been so lackluster I can see UF spending some money on marketing tips that would have come back with "milk the pride thing" and they got lucky. UF wants to keep the J=J ship afloat and lucrative after all.

I have no proof though; it may as well be a conspiracy theory. Make of it what you will.
