[07/13] OCHA NORMA Major Debut Single "Koi no Crouching Start / Omatsuri Debut da ze!"

The winners for the 64th annual Nihon Record Taishou (Japan Record Award) have been announced. OCHA NORMA and three other new artists Ishikawa Hana, Tanaka Aimi, and Tani Yuuki have each won a "New Artist of the year" award from the Japan Record Awards. With this, they are all automatically nominated for a chance to win the "BEST New Artist of the year" award. The awards will be presented and announced live on 12/30 at the Japan Record Awards show.

But OCHA NORMA did not win the "BEST New Artist of the year" award. The award went to Enka singer Tanaka Aimi (not to be confused with the voice actress with the same name). They were all winners though.

But OCHA NORMA did not win the "BEST New Artist of the year" award.

Oh well. Winning awards is a nice little feather in the cap but they don't guarantee future success. I'd invite the Oscars to enter the chat at this time.

Having said that, the winner, who sorta resembles a cross between Riai and lil Aatan, has a lovely voice and I wish her all the best.

Unfortunately, we did not win the Best New Artist Award.
To be honest, I was very disappointed.

OCHA NORMA has had the goal of winning the Record Award for New Artist of the Year and the Best New Artist of the Year Award since its formation, so I am frustrated.

Above all, I really wanted to return the favor in the form of the Best New Artist of the Year as a token of my gratitude to everyone who has always supported us.

But!!!!!
It is a great honor to receive the "New Artist Award".
I will continue to do my best to live up to that name.

We had a really good time performing.
After the performance, everyone felt that they had done their best.

I have never seen such vivid expressions on the members' faces! They were so sparkling and shining!

Ishiguri had a lot of fun too!

I did my best to show you the cute gestures that I had practiced for this day with the desire to bring all of the current OCHA NORMA to you, the audience.

I hope that my full effort has reached you all!

Today was the day

First of all, I am very happy that all 10 of us are here today.

I feel so happy.

OCHA NORMA received the Japan Record New Artist of the year award

And we were able to perform on a historic singing show that many people watch on TV.

We were able to perform "Koi no Crouching Start"!

Though it was very frustrating that we did not win the Best New Artist Award.

But we are so happy to have been selected as one of only four artists for the New Artist of the year Award!!!!!!

We were able to achieve these results because you all supported us and brought us to this point.

To all of you who watched the show, Thank you so much~!

I am glad that all 10 of us were able to perform together without missing anyone.

And this time we were able to receive the New Artist of the Year as OCHA NORMA
I was so happy to be on the stage of my dream! I was so happy!

I've blogged about this before.
It really is thanks to all of you who are involved with us.
Thank you for everything!

It has always been our goal to win the award.
I am honored to receive such a prestigious award.

However, we didn't win the Best Artist Award, and I feel sorry for all the people who always support us.

To be honest, it was so frustrating.
We were all in tears in the dressing room, and I'm still trying to sort out my feelings...

I believe that our setbacks will make us stronger as a group in the future, and I hope that one day we will be nominated not for the Best Newcomer Award, but for the Japan Recor "Excellent Works Award” (Grand Prix)
We will switch to a positive attitude.

But!
We gave it our all.
I think we did what we could do for everyone!

So I have no regrets!!!!!!!!

And I would like to use the frustration of not winning the award this time as a springboard to move forward even further with the 10 of us.

OCHA NORMA just got off to a crouching start!
We're going to keep running through it!

Today it is announced that OCHA NORMA has won the Japan Gold Disc Award for "New Artist of the Year" as well as the "Best 5 New Artists" (of the year) award. Congratulations!

The Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) announced the winners and artists of the "37th Japan Gold Disc Awards" on March 10th. The "New Artist of the Year" award in the Japanese music category, given to the new artist with the highest net sales in the past year, went to the 10-member idol group OCHA NORMA of Hello! Project.

OCHA NORMA is a 10-member group consisting of 8 trainees selected from the Hello Pro trainees and 2 successful candidates from the "Hello! Project New Member Audition 2021". in July 2022, they made their major label debut with the single "Koi no Crouching Start / Omatsuri Debut da ze!"
