*The narrator, Takahiro Sakurai is recovering after testing positive for corona, so voice actor Kenichi Suzumura will be narrating this episode. Both of them are good friends in real life.

- OCHA NORMA is revving up their activities in preparation for their Major Debut. Hello Dream cameras follows OCHA NORMA's performances at back to back idol events "AION CINDERELLA -DX-", and "To be To be New Ones Vol.2".
- First is "AION CINDERELLA -DX-" back on April 15th in Yokohama. The members are asked how they feeling about the event and their Major Debut in a few months. Backstage footage is shown of OCHA NORMA on standby for their performance. Saito Madoka shows her leader in the circle huddle. A digest of their performance is shown.
- In Shibuya the next day on April 16th, OCHA NORMA rehearses their MCs together backstage for the event "To be To be New Ones Vol.2". They consult and help each other out. Backstage, they do their circle huddle and stand by. They show a digest of the performance. OCHA NORMA express how they felt about the two day performance.

- The Hello Pro Kenshuusei Spring Public Ability Diagnostic Test is tomorrow. HELLO! PROJECT STREAM will stream it live.

- Continuing from last week, they will interview the other 5 Kenshuusei (by the free song order). Then show a recorded video of them practicing one or both of their songs at home.
- First is Yoshida Hinoha, participating in her first test. She is nervous, but she wants to try looking cool. At home, she practices her assigned song "Chotto Guchoku ni! Chototsu Moushin". She hopes you will pay attention to her dance and rhythm. Her free song is "Go Girl ~Koi no Victory~", and wants everyone to listen to her cheerful singing.
- Next is Onoda Karin. This is her 4th time participating in the test. Last year, she won Ueno Mariko sensei's Vocal award. She hopes to use her previous test experience on stage as an advantage. She practices her assigned song "Kimagure Princess", and wants to show her facial expressions while singing and dancing. She has a cool looking outfit prepared. Her free song is "Mugen Climax" is a difficult song and wants to show how much she has practiced. She wants to win.
- New Kenshuusei Goto Hana is participating for the first time. She is nervous. She practices her rhythm "Jinsei wa STEP!" at home. She wants to show her smile during this performance. Her free song is "Koko ni Iruzee!", and she has a shiny outfit prepared.

- Hello Promote promotes ANGERME's new single "Hade ni Yacchai na!" with a clip of the MV.

- Next is Matsubara Yulia, who taking the test for the 5th time. At home, she practices her assigned song "Potsuri to", and wants to show her expressions since this is a ballad. Her free song is "Teenage Solution", she hopes to express the song's meaning with her singing and dancing.

- Last is Murakoshi Ayana, her time participating in the test. She practices her assigned song "Chotto Guchoku ni! Chototsu Moushin", she loves the dance. Her free song is "Jealously Jealously", and she wants to show her shiny and cool outfit for this song. She wants to try and stay relaxed before her performance.

Hello Pro Kenshuusei Recital 2022 ~Spring Public Ability Diagnostic Test~ was held at Nakano Sun Plaza in Tokyo on Tuesday, May 3rd. The "Best Performance Award," went to Matsubara Yulia and Onoda Karin.

The "Spring Public Ability Diagnostic Test" is held once a year as a gateway to success for trainees. This test is often the catalyst for a trainee's debut. Last year, the test was held without an audience and was delivered to the public, but this year it was held again at Nakano Sun Plaza, and the first time in three years that the test was held with an audience. On the day of the event, thorough measures were taken to prevent infection at the venue, and the event was also broadcast live on the "HELLO! PROJECT STREAM" distribution site.

Another highlight of this year's event is that each trainee will perform two songs each. In addition to the "Free Songs," which each trainee produces by himself/herself, including song selection, choreography, costumes, etc., as in previous years, this year each trainee will perform an "Assigned Song," which she has chosen from among the seven predetermined songs.

The performance was a test to see how well the trainees could showcase their own strengths. The order in which each member performed was decided by lottery in advance, and the performance opened with "Kimi no Toujou" by the 10 trainees as the audience looked eagerly at the stage.

The six judges for the open diagnostic test were Ueno Mariko (singing instructor), Mitsubachi Maki (dance instructor), Hashimoto Shin (recording director), Makoto (Sharan Q), who is the MC for the trainee events, and guest judges, Miyamoto Karin and Ogata Risa.

After the nerve-wracking song performances and a time for fans to vote for their favorites, the second half of the block featured songs by guests Miyamoto Karin, Ogata Risaa, and OCHA NORMA. OCHA NORMA performed "Mistake" for the first time as a 10-member group, showing the trainees that they are a debutant group.

Finally, the tally results were announced. Among the judges' special award, Ishiyama Sakura was selected for the "Makoto Award," Kawashima Mifu and Murakoshi Ayana for the "Miyamoto Karin and Ogata Risa Award," Onoda Karin for the "Dance Award," and Matsubara Yulia for the "Singing Award."

The final Best Performance Award was announced and given to Matsubara Yulia and Onoda Karin for their close tie for first place (1237 votes) and second place (1174 votes) out of a total of 4083 votes cast. The winners of the Best Performance Award, Matsubara and Onoda, looked at each other excitedly at the moment of the announcement. On receiving the award, Onoda said, "This is my fourth year, and I thought I would do my best not to lose to the others, but there were many things that didn't go well and I was worried. But I am very happy to receive the Best Performance Award today. Thank you very much." Matsubara choked up in surprise and said, "Wow, this is amazing. I am so glad that I have worked so hard. Thank you very much." She and Onoda received a big round of applause from the audience.
