Yep, someday! But I need to recover from this one financially before I plan any other trips.

It's after midnight here now, but I got home around 10:30-ish. Very glad to be back in my own bed, lol. I didn't get to do most of what I had planned in Portland, but I got to meet my oldest friend in person for the first time ever! The plans we had unfortunately fell through, but hopefully next time she'll actually have vacation time off.

I also got to see Rina Sawayama in concert. She was incredible! Hearing the entire venue sing along to STFU! is something I'll never forget.

I went to Annapolis for the day and it’s a lovely little town with a lot of history.

I spent half the day clearing out the kitchen sink drain line with a pressure-hose attachment - it was a nice Spring day, but still...
(And a few days ago, I replaced the kitchen sink faucet and inlet lines, plus one of the shutoff valves, and snaked out another drain line )

Right now, I feel like hanging out in some lakeshore park somewhere with people who are fun to be with, grilling random stuff on a bbq and not doing anything constructive. Ahhh... maybe some day...

I spent my Saturday at the WESTPEX stamp show, something I look forward to every year. Going to WESTPEX has an emotional resonance for me, since I used to go there with my favorite uncle (my mother's older brother) every year, until his ill health prevented it. I spent seven hours at the show and bought several items that I was specifically looking for and several items that I wasn't. Afterwards, as usual, I ate at a Middle Eastern place near the show venue that makes excellent (but pricey) filet mignon kebabs.

It's been too long since I've gone to any kind of collector's show, or even a good swap meet or yard sale. I've picked up some interesting things online, but nothing quite beats finding some utterly rare and obscure item for a few dollars, just sitting in a box with a bunch of plastic knockoff Elvis decanters and partially disassembled GI Joes and Barbies.

The last flea market I went to was at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. They have one every 2nd Sunday of the month. You'll find all kinds of vintage stuff.

The Rose Bowl Flea Market is excellent - it's been a long time sine I've gone, but I would like to get out there again.
