I'm so glad they didn't screw that up with FaT BeATz, lame H!P "riffing," rearrangement, reharmonization, or whatever, just a straight re-cover of one of my all time favorite songs by any group. It sounds just as good as the original. (Yokoyan got a little slighted with the line coverage tho. ) The girls all look amazing, and I like how they do a callback to the varsity jackets from the original PV from 2000. Ikuta's blonde hair even sorta echoes Nakazawa's hair from back then. Speaking of Ponpon, here's a mind-blowing thing. The two of them have now been in Morning Musume for as long as the entire time from the original debut of "I Wish" to when they joined MM. In other words:

2000: I wish
11 years
2011: Ponpon join MM
11 years
2022: I wish

My thoughts exactly. Personally, I've been pretty lukewarm on MM and H!P in general these past few years, and watching this MV was a real palate cleanser.

I am in love with this new version. Love seeing the girl's happy smiley faces on a MV. It is just so refreshing and I just love them having fun in their activities as MM! <3
(And I am in love with the M-jacket! Please, if anyone sees they are sold for goods, tell me, cause I need them!)

The MV was quite easily one of the best things I've watched from H!P in a really long time.

Overall very well done.

(Side note, I'm loving super blonde Eripon. It suits her well.)
