• A new Hello! Project audition to find Morning Musume's 16th generation & new members for Juice=Juice.
• "As a result of the auditions last year, many members joined Hello! Project. In 2022 we will hold a joint new member audition in search of new personalities." .. • 2022/01/02 (Audition announced at the first Hello! Project 2022 Winter ~LOVE & PEACE concert. Website opened, application acceptance begins.)
• 2022/01/02 (Applicants who pass the first screening (application) will be notified by mid-March and proceed to the 2nd screening (online interview).)
• 2022/02/09 (Application submissions officially closed at 10 a.m.)
• 2022/02/28 (First screening complete. Those passing to the second screening will be notified.)
• 2022/03/30 (Second screening complete. Those passing to the third screening will be notified.)
• 2022/05/06 (Third screening complete. Those passing to the third screening will be notified.)
• 2022/06/28 (Announcement of results reveal on June 29th at 10 p.m. JST.)

Audition Requirements:
• Applications will be accepted between January 2, 2022 and February 9, 2022 at 10 a.m.
• Must be a female living in Japan between 5th grade and the 2nd year high school (approximately 10 - 17) as of January 2022.
• Must not be contracted to or affiliated with any entertainment or performing arts organizations.
• Consent of a parent or guardian is required for minors to apply.
• Any qualifying person in Japan may apply, but only those able to attend lessons in Tokyo will be eligible to pass.
• The final screening may result in "not applicable". We may recommend those with future potential join Hello Pro Kenshuusei.

They just added new members to Juice, wtf. I get that Kanatomo graduated but I wish they had at least given it another year before having another audition.

Morning otoh was probably due for one even if Maa-chan hadn't graduated.

With the pace of recent auditions, at least it probably won't be too far off from a year by the time they're active.

Even if they are really just targeting MM, I reckon they still want the flexibility of placing a talented girl who for whatever reason doesn't have the right chemistry for that group.

OTOH maybe for real this time, they want to bulk up JJ so they're full and equal partners to MM? By tradition MM has always remained the flagship group, but Mizuki/Erina/Ayumi/Sakura could easily all graduate in the very near future, and if they do, the current balance of power in H!P would transform drastically. JJ and/or Angerme need to be ready to step up and fill that spot, otherwise H!P could be in for a long dry spell like when the OGs left and BerryCute weren't mature enough to capture mainstream attention.

The Juice=Juice & Tsubaki Factory audition was 6th grade to 2nd year high
The Hello! Project New Member Audition 2021 was 5th grade to 3rd year high

People may not like the audition now, but when the Audition starts to pickup steam, they're going to change their minds real fast.

Gotta snatch that talent before anyone else.

Keep in the mind, Juice=Juice only got one member from the previous audition, not 3.

My first thought was to hope it doesn't take too long for the 2nd round notice, but then I remembered they already told us they'll notify them by mid-March.
