No way to 100% know if it's the same person, but there is a YT channel for a composer/arranger named Zeyun. Noticed this hasn't been mentioned, but the other side of this single is a cover of Mariya Takeuchi's, Plastic Love.
It also comes in first as the main single of the release.
I'm very excited for this, so hopefully they keep with the city pop vibe.
Swedish producer Anders Dannvik will be arranging it, so I can only hope he doesn't completely destroy the beauty of the original!
In 2018 this song became a big hit because of YouTube, so I find it smart that H!P is covering this. I hope it brings more people into the Juice=Juice family.
One cover is out, so the others shouldn't be far behind.
The Music video will be out this Friday so look forward to it!

Juice=Juice just couldn't resist having another cover song for their single.
This time, it was announced that the single will include a cover of "Plastic Love" released by Takeuchi Mariya in 1984. Swedish producer Anders Dannvik has arranged it into a modern version of the groove.

I never thought I'd see the day when a song I wrote 37 years ago would be sung by the talented female idol group Juice=Juice! I was very impressed with the arrangement by Anders Dannvik from Sweden, and the way each member's vocals fit the sound of the current era. I would be honored if this song could help them expand their musical horizons.
Kanazawa Tomoko's comments
I was very nervous to cover Takeuchi Mariya's famous song "Plastic Love", but I hope the audience will enjoy the new arrangement and the different atmosphere of Juice=Juice's version from the original song, and that they will be able to read the loneliness and solitude that I really want them to notice in the song, which seems to be an inorganic love song.
In the MV, there are many close-ups of the members' facial expressions expressing the feelings of the main character, so please pay attention to the small changes in their expressions and the fine movements of their fingertips.

That is BIG! Plastic Love is like THE city pop song. Every city pop fan knows it, and these fans are less likely idol fans.

Music Video is up. Also, Warner uploaded the full version of the original Plastic Love to their own YouTube page as well. They put the short version up in 2019 and JUST released the full version? Very planned to me. So hopefully the algorithm plays into Juice=Juice’s favor on this one. Good luck Juice!!!
