If they start to give Moderna boosters, I suppose I'll be getting one - and I really should think about getting a flu shot.

Ah.. it might not yet be a thing in Australia, we’re currently focusing on just getting the vaccination % up as far as I’m aware.
My state just got out of lockdown recently, I don’t know how long that will last but I’m hoping we don’t get another one for a very long while.

Like Shoujo Q said, it's for Pfizer recipients (in the U.S.) that meet certain criteria. People 65 and older, transplant recipients, people who have immunodeficiencies or are immunocompromised due to medications or chronic illness, etc. Moderna will probably start doing their own soon enough.
I know Israel was doing 3rd doses for people before the U.S. even considered it, but I'm not sure about any other countries. You can always check with your country's Department of Health and see if they have any information. ;)

Weather's downright perfect today! 66°F and sunny. Should be about 2 or 3 weeks before peak foliage.

My boyfriend and I went to a local botanical garden today to see the foliage because there’s a certain spot where you can sit and see the mountains. But they are doing some major construction to that part right now so we couldn’t get to it. There’s another place we’re going to attempt next weekend. They have a better view so I’m hoping the leaves are in prime color.

Southern California seems to be in a permanent state of seasonless arid-steppe drought these days, and I can't even remember the last time I saw genuine autumn leaves. :fear:

UPS delivered an unusual parcel to my workplace yesterday. It was only one box of a five-box shipment. That's not odd in itself. We had already reported the box missing and been reimbursed for the loss. That's not unheard of, either. But this box...

Spoiler: show
...was shipped on October 18th, 2007! I have no idea how UPS managed to lose it for 14 years and nevertheless deliver it in perfect condition.

That's crazy--it seems unbelievable that the tracking ID would even still be in their system!! :00

CDs and DVDs. I haven't checked to see what story the tracking tells, but this just happened to be the box containing the packing list, so that told me when it was ordered and shipped.

The scary thing is that I would have been the person who reported this box as missing, way back when.

Ngl I thought I’d probably hold the record of delayed deliveries, Auspost was being sketchy leaving me a SMS telling me we couldn’t deliver your packages because I apparently wasn’t home… during lockdown.

But this?! For 14 years? That’s just terrible.
