Oota Haruka is graduating H!P to attend university

It has been announced that Oota Haruka has ended her activities.

I don't think it's a very easy decision to make.

It's a decision that she made after reevaluating herself and the group while refraining from activities.

To our members
She told us her thoughts directly, in her own words, with her own mouth.

When the suspension was announced, I, too, was filled with frustration, anger, sadness, regret, and other emotions that cannot be expressed in words.

No matter how many issues I confronted and faced, not everything was going to be cleanly resolved.
I've realized and reflected strongly over the past six months that I wasn't doing a good job of facing myself either.

During the period of stay at home,
I was able to keep in touch with Oota and talk to her about our respective feelings.

From now on, Oota's activities with Angerme have come to an end, and she has decided to return to her roots and work hard from scratch.

I've learned a lot of things from Oota-chan, so I'll keep that in mind as I work with her.

From now on, we will be separate, but I hope that we can each move in the right direction.

In it, Oota laments how different Tokyo is compared to her hometown in Hokkaidou. I wonder if her longing for a more rural life had a heavy bearing on her decision to not come back to ANGERME.

Even if it's not in ANGERME, I'm happy she wants to come back & I'm glad UF supports her coming back. It's nice that they took some blame for not giving enough guidance re: how to idol, even if some of it seems obvious to most of us. I have a hard time imagining her fitting into any of the other current groups, so my guess is she'll end up "re-training" and/or doing lowkey Manaka-style jobs for 1-1.5 years (maybe even just 1/2 a year or so, depending on Corona) and will eventually be added to a new group or a new Country Girls lineup.

The circumstances themselves are entirely different and I don't expect she'll be doing the same kind of work but, in addition to the Manaka situation, parts of this remind me somewhat of when Kago was doing clerical work at UF while working toward her comeback after her initial suspension (which also lasted for almost a year).

Yesterday, there was an announcement about Oota Haruka's future.
As a trainee of Hello Kenshuusei Hokkaido and a member of Hello Pro,
The period of time I worked with Haa-chan is an important one for me.
Especially as a fellow trainee, we overcame a lot of things and experienced a lot of things together.
This time, I want to support the choices that Haa-chan has thoughtfully made, and
I believe she will come back with a smile on her face.
When Haa-chan comes back,
I hope I will be more grown up.
Until we can work together again, let's keep each other going!

Update on Oota Haruka.

Seems like she's continuing her lessons but also going to try for university.

Not sure exactly what they plan on doing with her.

I thought putting her in the new unit would have been the best place for her honestly. But at this point, that doesn't seem like viable option.

Maybe she'll be added back to ANGERME?

I honestly thought maybe she was going to be a surprise addition to the new unit but… I guess not. Either she will get added to a group or she’ll become a soloist or… she might leave… who knows? I doubt she will be added back into ANGERME otherwise the decision to take her out and give her colour to Rin (not her exact colour but the colour is close enough to hers) is rather pointless

Notice regarding Oota Haruka's future

Thank you for supporting Oota Haruka.

Oota Haruka has been on hiatus since March 2020, but she is currently attending high school while continuing to take singing and dancing lessons every day.

Oota herself told us that she hasn't changed her mind and wants to be active in Hello! Project again, but she is also thinking about going to university to study, because there are things she wants to try learning.
So in order to avoid any half-hearted results, we decided to think about her activities and prioritize her university entrance examinations next spring.

We will continue to support her as she aims to enter university while continuing her daily lessons.

We will keep you posted on her future plans as soon as the time is right.

We would like to ask for your continued support for Oota Haruka.

Haa-chan and I haven't been able to see each other since Corona, but we've kept in touch and talked about what's going on with each other.

Ha-chan is a good student, and she's been teaching me a lot when we've been together, so I was very happy when I found out that she's aiming for a place where she can put that to good use!

And I think it's great that she's making the effort to start performing again from scratch, and I hope that Oota Haruka will come back bigger and better in the future!

As I said a long time ago, I don't want you to say anything about our relationship from now on.

Please don't say that we don't get along, and please don't have any suspicions about that.

It's true that when we went on hiatus, we couldn't be as close as we used to be, but now we've made up and we're good friends!!!!

Haa-chan and I are only one year apart in age, but she's already thinking about her college entrance exams, which I thought was amazing.

Looks like she passed her entrance exams last month and this spurred her decision to study at University.

I'm happy for her, but I wanted her to redeem herself H!P wanted her back but this her decision.
