Erina Ikuta's VS returns for its third season. The first two seasons focused on her own specialty, golf, but this third season is expanding to sports in general.

Fascinating: AKB48 now has the same 'issue' as Morning Musume: first there's video footage of their own golden age members before transitioning to footage of the current line-up. Both are requested to perform a song that came out long before that current line-up.

How irrelevant this show must be to both fanbases, other than yet another nostalgia-fueled performance. This is very much for a general audience.

I was just thinking that. I didn't realise that AKB48 had the same problem MM has had for ages now but it makes sense, I guess. What a shame though, they both have more recent songs that are just as good, they could have added one song for each.
