…so it's probably the franchisee's decision to tailor their menu to suit the local demand. Stocking and preparing items that don't sell just leads to waste. There's even an episode of Seinfeld about that.

Gotta say, though, if they drop their signature Cajun items, then they're just KFC with slightly better chicken. (I can say that because I have a real chicken place near me, compared to which both Popeye's and KFC are… not good.)

Personally, I'd rather have the citrus grilled chicken at Pollo Campero, but I'd have to go all the way to San Francisco for that, and with the current ban on indoor dining, it's not a really viable option. In the absence of that, it's time to get some more Pollo à la Brasa with salsa criollo and garlic rice delivered from the Peruvian place down the road.

GI referral was no issue. Working on some other referrals, pending the outcome of said labs and MRI.

GI called earlier; I go in on Wednesday. Though I am a little ??? about the referral saying "possible colitis." Oh well, they'll have a chance to get my records from my last one.
My antinuclear antibodies actually came back negative (first time in 6 years!), so a rheumatology referral is out of the question for now.
I had my MRI on Tuesday evening; I was there for over 2 hours, lol. New patient paperwork, problems with their payment system, and then they had to verify that my rods are safe to scan.
The tech had to unlock the front doors so I could leave. It came back fine; no signs of stenosis or disc disease.

My poor dog is sick with gastroenteritis. The vet gave her an anti-nausea shot this morning, something for pain, and told us to give her metronidazole for 7 days.
She'd been acting off for a couple days, kinda like she couldn't get comfortable. She's a little out of it and I hate that I can't just magically make her better.

Not entirely sure! I don't know what, if any, kind of staining pattern they did. I'll see if I can pick up the results for myself next week.

Doggo is doing a little better today. She at least felt good enough to get on my bed and has been sleeping for hours.

This store also used to have Haribo ginger lemon gummies (one of my favorite candies), but I don't see them at any of the local stores anymore, though I'm sure they still make them. They're even out of them at the nearby German deli/grocery, but that may just be due to COVID-related supply issues.

I went to the German deli today, and even though they were sold out of most flavors of Haribo gummies, they had restocked my beloved ginger lemon.

I love Pollo Campero. There's one in my neighborhood (~10 minutes walking)! There are also plenty Popeyes's around. It's KFC that I don't see as much around here. But honestly, I'm very satisfied with the food options I get here. I'm trying not to get as much take-out but I've recently discovered some of the best Thai food I've ever had in the U.S. here, and the delivery from a lot of places is so cheap and fast (compared to when I lived in Chicago).

Also, I live north of downtown so I don't get to see how insane downtown DC looks right now, but I'm not really that curious. I'm not even going to order any food if they have to drive through downtown, since so many streets in that area are closed.
