Ogata Risa Thread: 1st album "montage" [6/19]

Some small part of me was hoping she'd come back, but I mostly figured it'd go this way. Personally speaking, if I were in her position I'd be too embarrassed to return - even if I had mended my private relationships with the members.

I'm glad she's sticking around though. It's probably going to be hard work moving forward since it was all so public.

I will miss her voice quite a bit, but I'm less worried about Tsubaki performance-wise than I would've been 2 years ago; it'll take a second to properly find their footing, but "Premier seat" was great and they did fine at that collabo event with STU48.

It's Inoue Rei!

It has been announced that Ogata Risa will be ending her activities with Hello! Project and will be starting a new entertainment career!

I'm rooting for you because you've made your own decision, you know the hardships you're going to face, and you've come up with an answer after a lot of worrying!

It's going to be hard no matter which path you choose.

Let's keep working hard for each other.

I've known Risa-chan for about nine years now, since I met her when I was in Nice Girl Trainee.
I still think of her as a dependable older sister, mother-ish.

When I was in elementary school and junior high school, you taught me how to dance from scratch, and I felt sorry for you even though I was very young.
And I'm really grateful to you for following me when I couldn't speak at all in MC!

If I were to write about my memories from those days, it would be a long story, so I won't go on too long.

After we became Kobushi and Tsubaki, we had fewer opportunities to talk to each other, but when we decided to sing together, I felt a sense of security, and thinking about it now, I was spoiled, but I wasn't able to give anything back.

I'm still going to be performing, so I'd still like to repay you in some way!

Thank you so much for everything you've done!

As far as whether or not her posts had grains of truth or not, I don’t think it matters. UF has to set a precedent. If they let her say whatever she wants and slander her group members and the company, then they are leaving it open to happen again. That would just end up generating a lot of toxicity. I tend to think Japanese companies are strict, but I think this was a valid response. If you were to say negative things about your job or coworkers in any industry and it ended up leaking to the public you would most likely get fired.

But I think that's why it's interesting.

Removing Risa from the equation a bit, is UF looking to identify the managers or others on their payroll that took part in the gossip? Or to identify whoever leaked it to the press?

If it's the latter and the person ends up having no real ties to UF (eg it was a friend of Risa's) does UF actually have any leverage to do anything about it?

If it's the former... We could conceivably see a number of entertainment employees get blacklisted for their participation and they likely wouldn't have the excuse of being a young, naive idol to get past this.

It did sound like they wanted to investigate it. Also I saw someone speculate that it might really be someone within the company because Chisaki's account got leaked right after..

Oh sorry, I should have said. Apparently it was all mundane stuff so no one cared. I couldn't really find it when i searched for it myself but the guy who said it usually always gives accurate reports of things. It was davidguuuuuy on twitter.
