Amabie dominates the lyrics of "Song for an End to the Epidemic" on TsuShiMaMiRe's new EP, LUCKY.

Joy reminds me of one of the dogs I grew up with at my grandparents home. She's so cute.

I've been listening to a stack of bargain-priced Matsuda Seiko CDs that I bought several years ago but never got around to playing. Right now it's Eien no Shoujo from 1999, which the inscription on the obi describes as her "Bland New Album". XD

After complaining about Florida's eternal summer...

Now that's more like it! (It should go without saying that this is not a Florida forecast. )
They said we might have a chance for flurries but they likely won't stick.

Judging by the ads it shows me, YouTube apparently thinks I'm an alcoholic, thirtysomething woman (or drag queen) on the prowl.

And this is not on the account that I use for idol stuff. This is on the account that is closest to my real identity.

I'd like to think it's because I've done a good job of blocking trackers and scrambling my profile, making me worthless as a viewer. But I think it's more likely the advertising market has crashed since all of the Election 2020 ads went away, forcing them to run anything and everything just to maintain revenue. In fact, that would explain a few other things that have happened in the last few weeks.

The "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet" episode of Twilight Zone was on MeTV tonight, and it reminded me why I'm glad that I never had to travel by air in the 1960s. Not because a creepy-looking gremlin might have its face pressed up against my window (though that scene scared the crap out of me when I first saw it). No, it's because smoking was allowed on flights, and there weren't even smoking and non-smoking sections. Absolute hell.

When I took the Shinkansen from Tokyo to Nagoya in 2007, I accidentally got on the smoking car. It was Golden Week, and all the cars were packed, so I would have had to get off the train and wait in line again to get on a non-smoking car on a later train. I would have considered it, but I didn't want to risk getting to Nagoya too late for the ℃-ute concert at 1 pm. So I spent two hours trying not to vomit. The things we do for our fandom....

My mother and her friends smoked back in the day and I remember pleading with them to get a non-smoking seat in the restaurants any time we ate out and it never worked. I use to hate eating out for that reason. So when they finally put it into law that you couldn’t smoke in restaurants I was so excited!
