Not to compare Apples to Oranges, but basically KF started strong while TF had a rough start. But this played out quite differently since their formation 5 years ago.

I guess for some people TF haven't been able to shake off that bad first impression. But that's their loss.

I know I’m responding to this late, but I want to just make clear that this “bad first impression” is actually part of what makes them great. It’s not even a bad impression either. I think in those early days we fell in love with both groups for different reasons. Kobushi because of how strong they were (or seemed at the time) and Tsubaki for putting in the work to grow and overcome the gap between them and Kobushi, which they did successfully. It would be weird then to not see them as those same girls because that’s what we loved about them in the first place. I don’t want them to be Kobushi or any other group for that matter. I like the fact that they come off a bit less polished and a bit more relatable. It’s really a charm point for them.

Also to note: Comparisons are always going to be made between the two groups because Tsubaki was created to be a rival to Kobushi. This was done purposefully. It’s why they shared half a name.

They are waiting for some certain date to release it. Maybe they are taking a "minimalistic" approach.
