Participating in her first test, 2nd year junior school student Kitahara Momo's dance is really strong. She admits her singing is not her strong point, so she wants to work on that at home.
- Kitahara chose the song "Tokaikko Junjou (2012 ver.)" by C-ute. It has a dance that is up to her level. At home, she practiced singing the song with a towel to mimic the sound like it was a mask. But when she came back to lessons in July, she forgot what she practiced at home and got scolded by the vocal teacher. She started tear up and feels frustrated.
- One week before the test, Kitahara practices her song in the studio. She wants to stay relaxed. During stay at home, Kitahara tried out new things. She could play the guitar with her harmonica, and make DIY masks in her videos. So, taking her DIY skills, she designed her own original outfit for her performance. She ironed on her design, sewed together pieces of her outfit, and painted her shoes. She wants to show her seniors that she can be a big presence on stage with her performance. On test day, she is feeling nervous, but she can't wait to get on stage. The vocal teacher praises her. She is chosen as the Miyazaki Yuka award winner. Miyazaki really loves how she transformed with her DIY outfit and looks really cool. The wink at the end was a nice touch too.
- Up next is Murakoshi Ayana. She is participating in her first test. She says her skill is putting on a big smile and her facial expressions. Murakoshi chose to sing the song "Tabidachi no Haru ga Kita" by S/mileage. She loves the melody and positivity of the song. At home, she does face exercises in front of the mirror to help her smile.
- One week before the test, she practices her song. She is feeling nervous. On dress rehearsal day, she chose a white dress for a mature look, while feeling like a cute princess with a shiny tiara. She is feeling confident after practicing a lot. In her performance, she keeps her smile.
- Nishizaki Miku, hopes to bring out her facial expressions in her first test. Nishizaki picked Berryz Kobo's Special Generation for her performance. Every time she goes to Karaoke, she would always sing this song. One week before the test, she has practicing in front the mirror. She looks up to Sato Masaki's many different facial expressions. Miyazaki was able to notice her expressions and that encourages her even more to keep going.
- Onoda Karin considers all the Kenshuusei first year junior school students as her rivals. Back in the studio, she practices with the vocal teacher a familiar muscle routine called the "lip roll" to help her vocals. She choose's Juice=Juice's "Hitori de Ikiraresou" tte Sore tte Nee, Homete Iru no? as her song. A week before the test, she tries to put out more power in her voice for this song. Onoda chose a cool black outfit that has a feeling of loneliness like the song. She hopes all her muscle training and practice will all be worth it in the end.
