In today's Hello Dream episode, it will be footage of their rehearsals and lessons (which was filmed just last week) for the Kenshuusei test, and quickly edited digest of the Summer Kenshuusei Ability test results that the Hello Dream editor managed to finish in time after the event ended. There will be more behind the scenes footage next week as well. Also BEYOOOOONDS round-table discussion continues.

- In the first half : With one week to go (It was filmed last week on 7/19), Kenshuusei and Kenshuusei unit hurrying to start rehearsing their group performances for the Kenshuusei test. It was their first lessons in the studio together in over 4 months. Hello Dream Staff says they have grown since they last met them. Kenshuusei are interviewed about how they feel about coming back to rehearse and trying to brush off the rust after a long time. Everyone was nervous at first, but they are glad to be back. The teacher gives the Kenshuusei unit members a serious reminder of who they are. They need to continue to be role models for the other Kenshuusei. Kenshuusei unit members are interviewed about the importance of their lessons.

- BEYOOOOONDS members continue their discussion. They talk about how and why they joined Kenshuusei.
Maeda Kokoro always admired Kudo Haruka and already knew some things about Hello! Project. She auditioned for Morning Musume, but then found out about an audition for Kenshuusei at the same time as well and went for it.
Shimakura Rika was asked by her mother to try and apply for the Morning Musume audition when she was struggling in life. She also asked Rika if she would like to join Kenshuusei after that, to help to fix her half-hearted self attitude.
Yuhane decided to join Kenshuusei after not passing the Morning Musume audition.
Takase loves idols and already knew about Hello! Project and the Kenshuusei audition a shot.

- Kenshuusei come back to face reality during lessons and get scolded for their small mistakes after such a long lay off. Kitahara Momo forgets her lines, gets scolded from the vocal teacher. She breaks down in tears during her interview and admits she forgets sometimes. Their dance teacher lectures and advises them to practice dancing on their own with more energy, to get ready the test.

- On the day of test on 7/26, we get to see cameras follow the Kenshuusei arrive early in their plain clothers at COTTON CLUB. Kenshuusei begin their voice routines and start rehearsals on stage. A few members were interviewed about how they are feeling before rehearsals. They rehearse and provide feedback about a few things that they need to adjust. Then a quick highlight digest of each Kenshuusei's performance is shown. After that, the results were announced (footage of the winners of judges awards were not shown, just fixed pictures). Both the singing and dancing award winners were shown though :

Next week, Hello Dream cameras go behind the scenes and backstage at the Summer Kenshuusei Ability test in COTTON CLUB, follow around and interview Kenshuusei before and after their performances. It will be a really emotional scene (lots of smiles and tears) for everyone. It will be episode filled with the feels.

Today's Hello Dream is entirely about the Kenshuusei Ability test 2020, with behind the scenes footage and backstage interviews. Lots of nervous smiles and lots of tears before and after their performances.

- A quick recap reveals the Best Performance winner was Ishiguri Kanami!
- At 10am, cameras catch Kenshuusei arriving in their regular clothes.
- Kenshuusei are interviewed on how nervous they feel. Yamada feels nervous but she looks forward to it. Uemura got full support from her mom and Tamenaga keeps telling herself to do her best. Onoda had a Curry Katsu meal the night before. She hopes to show her confidence. Kitahara wants to show nothing but happy feelings on stage.
- at 11:15am, before entering the main COTTON CLUB area, all Kenshuusei were shown getting their temperatures taken.
- Everyone goes in and greet the staff for rehearsals. All microphones have been sterilized for each of them.
- at 11:30am, Nakayama starts her rehearsal performance. Backstage with a mask on, Nakayama says she went through image training.
- Yonemura also goes through rehearsal. Kubota is singing her song backstage.
- All Kenshuusei then start practicing backstage while wearing their masks on.
- Ebata Kisaki is excited to see herself printed in the event goods.
- at 1:30pm, Kenshuusei are getting a walk through of the MC portion of the test.
- at 2pm, Kenshuusei return to the dressing room, have their bento lunch and go back and review rehearsals on their phones. Then get ready and put their own makeup on.
- The judges Suzuki Airi, Katsuta Rina, and Miyazaki Yuka are interviewed about their thoughts about the Kenshuusei taking the test. They offer their valuable advice and show support. They look forward to seeing them perform their best.
- The cameras shows Kenshuusei are really focused just before start time. Their strict teachers Mitsubachi and Ueno both come by happily to cheer them on.
- Nakayama Natsume says she is a wearing bracelet given to her on her birthday and a pinky friendship ring that Yamada Ichigo gave her. Yamada also has one.
- at 3:30pm the show begins. Nakayama walks on stage as the top batter. Suzuki Airi judges her performance and praises her. After her performance, Nakayama started to cry immediately, but still smiling.
- Uemura Hasumi performs and admits in the MC that she was nervous and her voice didn't come out. She was frustrated. She starts to cry backstage and Ishiguri tells its okay, but first go get your mask on.
- During the MC, Saito Madoka is ready to cry after she did her best. Backstage, Madoka is interviewed while still teary eyed.
- Ebata Kisaki was full of energy during her performance but didn't get the judges to smile enough. She then cried after hearing that. A few moments later after her tears were dry, she was informed she had to go out and perform again due to live stream troubles. She was happy that she got a 2nd chance and made Airi smile. Ebata couldn't believe it.
- Tamenaga came back smiling after her amazing dance performance.
- Yamada Ichigo says she got encouragement from Nakayama Natsume. The teachers praised that she has grown and improved so much. Backstage, she started crying.
- Recap of all the award winners.
- Suzuki Airi, Katsuta Rina, and Miyazaki Yuka are interviewed again. They are amazed by the Kenshuusei and their hard work and level of performance. Airi just can't stop thinking about how Nakayama Natsume was still shining in her head even after the test was done, since she was the top batter. She didn't want it to be a waste and chose Nakayama as the "Suzuki Airi award" winner.

Former Kenshuusei Shuutou Anna admits she has a complex about her natural navel or belly button and confesses she just got surgery to remove it last Saturday. She said it was embarrassing to have and always wanted be normal.

- Recap of the Kenshuusei Ability test winners

- The first half of this episode is a full recap of all the hurdles Kenshuusei had to go through so far this year to get to the test.
- The show goes all the way back to December 22nd, 2019 where announcement of a new Kenshuusei show begins. The show wants to start following the Kenshuusei all the way to the Kenshuusei Ability test in May.
- Jumping to the February, Kenshuusei are rehearsing for the March 2020 Recital and going through tough lessons and lectures.
- When March 2020 comes, the recital had to be cancelled due to the coronavirus shutdown and they felt very frustrated.
- In mid-March, Kenshuusei arrived at TVTokyo studio to film their new show. Then a big surprise came when Fukumura Mizuki announced an "update". The Kenshuusei had 4 hours to prepare for their first ever TV studio performance. They performed in front of their H!P seniors and were also given valuable advice.
- In April, the show moved to having Kenshuusei record videos of themselves at home during the stay at home order.
- Fukumura Mizuki had to make a quick unfortunate "update" that the Kenshuusei Ability test in May cannot be done and will be postponed for now.
- Kenshuusei continued making their stay at home videos, showing off their talents, skills, and hobbies. They also performed songs through Zoom.
- Weeks later, Fukumura Mizuki made a more happier "update", when the Kenshuusei Ability test will be held in July.
- Then in July, Kenshuusei finally returned to the company office to the draw the performance order of the test.

New :

- In the 2nd half of the show, the show will begin following Kenshuusei one-by-one (by performance order), with new video of Kenshuusei practicing their songs, a week before the test.

- On July 19th, the show first focuses on the top batter, Nakayama Natsume. They show video of her at home and in studio practices. In the studio, Nakayama practices alone the song "Namida no Iro". In the interview, she says she chose a difficult song to challenge herself. The lyrics gives her a chance to show some sad expressions.
- On July 25th dress rehearsals, (The day before the test), Nakayama Natsume reveals the outfit that she will be wearing for the test. She chose a red and black style outfit that the fits the latin melody of "Namida no Iro". Then performs a little bit of her song in the outfit. Nakayama is interviewed and talks about how she feels and being ready after practicing a lot.
- On July 26th (The day of the Ability test), Nakayama Natsume arrives at the Cotton Club venue. They interview her again on how she feels. The cameras follow her during practices backstage and during rehearsal and just before the real performance.
- After the performance, Nakayama was glad she chose to sing "Namida no Iro"
- Then it was announced that she won the "Suzuki Airi award". Then they follow her to get her happy reaction.

- Next focus is on Yofuu Runo, who is participating in the test for the first time.
- Back in February, they asked Yofuu what song she chose to sing and it is "Umaretate no Baby Love". She hopes to pull of singing the "fakes" in the song.
- During the lessons, it was pointed out that Yofuu clumsily dropped her dummy microphone. The teacher said to always hold that mic no matter what. Yofuu did not let the mistake get to her and will definitely hold on the mic for dear life.
- Yofuu drew the #2 spot in the performance order drawing.
- She is shown at home putting her own original fakes for the song's intro and continues to practice it on July 19th, when she returned to studio.
- She says she woke up that morning and checked the calendar, and said to herself "That day is almost here! It made me even more nervous."
- Then on dress rehearsal day on July 25th, Yofuu reveals her white dress for her song. She wanted the dress and the hair band accessory to make her look like an angel. She hopes to get her "fakes" under control before the test.
- On test day, she is feeling heart-poundingly nervous for the actual performance. They show her practicing backstage and getting ready.
- Yofuu shines in her performance and Miyazaki Yuka was impressed by Yofuu's creativity by adding in her "original fake" during the intro of the song. But Hashimoto Shin says her rhythm was a little bit off.
- After her performance, she says she hopes to practice and improve her rhythm.

This week's performance is a digest of Nakayama Natsume, Onoda Karin, and Yofuu Runo performing "Jidanda Dance" (Juice=Juice).

Next week, they continue going down the performance order and focusing on Kenshuusei one-by-one on their path to the Kenshuusei test. Staff hints on twitter that this could take awhile to finish at this pace. They plan to do it for all of them.

Hello! Dream continues focusing on Kenshuusei one-by-one by performance order. This week, we see Hashida Honoka (#3), Uemura Hasumi (#4), and Yonemura Kirara (#5) practicing just days before the test.

- The opening is another recap of the Best Performance winner Ishiguri Kanami (I think they are going to reminding us this every week) and Fukumura Mizuki's previous "update" about having the test held in July.

- After hearing the test will be held in July, Hashida Honoka is excited and looks forward to it since it's first time participating. They show clips of her rehearsing in the studio and stretching in "at home" videos.

- Hashida has selected the song "One Summer Night ~Manatsu no Kesshin~" by Country Girls. To practice for the fast lyrics in the song, she started practicing tongue twisting words everyday. One thing Hashida was concerned about is practicing with a microphone stand for the first time. With one week before the test, she tried singing with the mic stand, but she accidently hit her leg on the stand. She still has a smile and keeps practicing at home. On dress rehearsal day, she chose her outfit after watching the music video. Even though they were wearing uniforms in the MV, she said they still looked very mature and cute looking. Her long skirt represents the mature side, with a bit of fluffyness.

- On test day, Hashida is feeling nervous. It is the first time for her to appear alone on stage like this, even though she has on stage ballet experience. She wants to remain relaxed with confidence. After her performance, Hashida wants to keep practicing and getting better.

- Next, Uemura Hasumi chose to sing W's "Miss Love Tantei", because the she loves that the dance is sexy. She says she loves that Tsuji's dance was very sexy and Kago's voice was very cute. At home, she practices the song, and tries to implement her long hair. She is worried about bringing out her quiet voice. She does many training exercises at home to strengthen her muscles. She chose her white outfit after watching the music video. She has a loop tie with a badge around her neck.

- On test day, she says she was feeling confident after practicing a lot. As soon got on to perform, she got stage fright and her voice was very shaky. Suzuki Airi tells her that she knows how that feels. Backstage she started to cry. She was feeling really frustrated with herself after she realized her voice didn't come out. Next time, she wants to put on a bigger smile and prove she can dance too.

- They once again point out Ishiguri Kanami won Best Performance and camera cues to Yonemura Kirara's reaction, who was participating in her 5th test. They flashback to all her test performances since 2016.

- Yonemura Kirara chose to sing Matsuura Aya's "Kiseki no Kaori Dance", because she wanted to try singing it after seeing being performed. In a previous interview, she said that she wanted to quit but after being put in Kenshuusei unit, she changed her mind and decided to keep going.

- One week before the test, she starts practicing her song in the studio and at home. She wants to carefully bring out her voice. On dress rehearsal day, she chose a red and black outfit. After watching a video performance of Matsuura Aya, she saw how sparkling she was and decided to choose a jacket that was shiny and sparkling with fluffy accessories.

- On test day, Yonemura was feeling confident even after rehearsing. She was still worried about the volume of her voice being a bit low. After her performance, Mitsubachi says she did good and has really transformed this year. Yonemura wants to continue shining on stage.

Next week continues the focus on each Kenshuusei (performance order #6~#9) on their path to the test.
