Made it home in one piece a few hours ago. I can't say the house hunting was fruitful, but seeing the great scenery was worth it.
I have quite a few pics that I really don't feel like sharing right now, so I'll probably post them tomorrow or something.

I just realized something:
Covid-19 is the name of a low-budget 70s sci-fi thriller.
The 19th Covid is a classic Hitchcock movie.
19 Covids is a John Hughes/Andrei Tarkovsky collaboration which would be a cult favorite if it had ever been made.

Now I'm wondering which one we're in...

I'm loving my Nvidia Shield Pro.
I was sceptical about the AI upscaling to 4K but damn if it doesn't make my 1080p H!P concerts rips from my Blu-ray discs look that much crisper.
And all buffering issues I had on the Xbox One S in PLEX don't seem to be popping up here.

All that for a device smaller than a Nintendo Switch (it's shares much of the same DNA), and inaudible (certainly a big difference with the Xbox).
I had read it had a reputation as a 'just plug it and all your streaming video just works'. Certainly seems to be true. Netflix, Amazon, Youtube. All works.

Having recently set up an AppleTV 4K for my parents, I'd put the overall experience even over that.

A little hand-me-down tablet my sister passed on to me years ago finally gave in and died. It managed to hold out for something like 6-7 years, I used it daily in my routine so I'll miss having one I'm so used to.

Just a random musing, I wonder how the forum would work if there were notifications for replies and such. Many times I just forget to check the forum.

Because the board is flat (you don't really reply directly to individual posts, you can just quote them in a successive post in that topic), there isn't really a way to check replies to an individual post but in the bottom of every page there's a checkoff for you to subscribe to that topic if you want to be notified of any new posts in that topic.

So Tuesday morning as I was getting ready to leave for work and putting the trash out, I opened the garage door to find my next door neighbor surrounded by cops. Three to be exact. They were patting him down and asking him a few simple questions. As I got closer to the exit of my garage I noticed another two going into his house. We share a driveway so this is all right there in front of me. I’m dumbfounded and still half asleep so I just simply to the most American thing or maybe, it’s unAmerican thing now? and ignore it all and go put my trash outside. I then pull out Of the driveway to go to work only to be blocked in the street by four police cruisers and an unmarked car. So... now I’m stuck. Another neighbor was trying to leave too. There’s only one exit out of our complex, it’s a townhouse complex. So I get out and explain to the lady, I’m not about to squeeze my suv between two police suvs. I don’t want to damage them. So She gets huffy and says she’s calling the police department to see if anyone can move the cars. As she’s doing that I saw a cop come out of the house and he spotted me. A little while after that a guy with a gun (the owners gun) comes out and after securing said gun, moves his suv and we were on our merry way. Fast forward to today, the guy hasn’t been home since and now I’m wondering what he did.

He never made any noise. Was always very quiet. Had a dog who was also very quiet and didn’t seem to ever leave the house. But, then again it’s Covidtimes so I didn’t think much of the not leaving the house bit.

He never seemed to have anyone over so it really comes as a shock something like that happened literally ATTACHED to our house.

They couldn’t hold a person this long without arraigning him, and most court proceedings are on the public record, so you should be able to call and ask.
