ANGERME dropped a surprise video announcement by interrupting the encore of their ANGERME 2018 concert live stream, and announcing a new single titled "Kagiri Aru Moment / Mirror Mirror" (限りあるMoment／ミラー・ミラー) and will be released on August 26th.

After Oota’s suspension and before the lockdown, so in March around the time of HinaFes. The hairstyles match. They probably intended to feature both songs in their spring tour, but then the tour didn’t happen.

I don’t know if I can handle Serious Rin. She’s almost unrecognizable, and not in a good way.

I like it too, but I think ANGERME is absolutely the right group for it. It’s too... I don’t want to say “angry” or “dark” because I don’t know yet what they’re actually singing. “Forceful” maybe, or “determined”. A little "bittersweet" in the chorus. Whatever it is, it isn't MM's style. Even when MM were literally marching in uniform in "BRAND NEW MORNING", that was sweeping and triumphant. That wasn't like this.

I really hope this isn’t a sign that Oota might not be returning ;-;
This song sounds wicked and I think edgy. It’s really cool with the fire in the background. I wonder what theme they were running with here in this single. The previous one was like a video game featuring Rin as a protagonist (coolest way to debut in my opinion) with the other single being about sleeping in through a heart break.

Can’t wait to see and hear Mirror Mirror. The title looks like it could be referring to Snow White, or perhaps the evil queen.

The closest case to compare would be Arihara Kanna in 2009. She was inactive for 4 months before resigning.
The Kobushi Factory terminations (Fujii, Ogawa) took place over roughly the same timeframe.

I wouldn't push it past 6 months if I were them though. For a return or a graduation.
Being in limbo is never a good thing.

From what few info we know of all of this, Oota's 'offense' is minor in comparison (at least in eyes of fans).
Doesn't seem this is a case of running out her contract time either, given what we've experienced with H!P member contracts over the years.

By the way, whatever happened to the person to whom Oota leaked all the info?
Japanese fans at the very least must know who she is as does UF.
She has to be banned from all events because of this.

I wouldn't be too worried about Oota tbh. If anything I think it's a matter of, that this single was supposed to come out in spring sometime in time for Funaki's graduation and all but then covid happened. So, instead they're pushing it out for summer... and since she wasn't in the recording or the music video, it makes sense to promote it without her, too.
It'd be weird to just have her rejoin now when their activities are kinda in limbo, almost, and all. Unless she wants to quit ofc, who knows
Considering how nice UF are, I find it hard to believe they'd kick her out. Unless ofc she's acting out and haven't reflected at all etc.
