I made a last minute edit to the non-western list. My brain really thought that Epik High EP was released in 2018.

A lot of my favorite artists released an album last year. I listen to these all the time every day during my commutes. My favorite albums of 2019:
Kim Petras - Turn Off The Light: This is a Halloween-themed electronic-pop album, and it's absolutely amazing. It's so cohesive; I secretly pretend it's the soundtrack to some cool Halloween musical. I won't rank the rest of the albums, but I'll rank this as #1 just because it's so good.
Kim Petras - Clarity
Charli XCX - Charli
Tove Lo - Sunshine Kitty
Taylor Swift - Lover
Slayyyter - Slayyyter
Uffie - Tokyo Love Hotel
The Raconteurs - Help Us Stranger
The Raconteurs' album is the odd one out here because it's a rock album, but everything else above is seriously pure pop perfection.
Honorary mention is Nasty Cherry's Season 1 EP, since it's not a full album.

If someone had told me 12 years ago that w-inds. would be releasing some jams written by Keita... I don't think I would've believed it. Also dang it that choreo is tight.

I recently started following a YT cover artist named V0RA. She's Korean but primarily does classic J-anime covers.
All of her stuff is uniformly excellent but I picked this one because it shows off her drawing skills a little bit as well.
I'd also recommend her Into the Unknown and Inferno covers for a showcase of her singing skills, her Dan Dan Kokoro Hikareteku cover for cuteness, and her Another Colony cover for both.

That one is among the more memorable kpop songs for me this year (unfortunately not a ton in 2019, I feel like the list would be significantly shorter if I removed all the re-releases/JP versions ).
