Please be aware there is scam spreading across YouTube right now, one in which popular and sometimes even verified channels get hijacked in order to broadcast phony cryptocurrency giveaways. One of the channels to which I'm subscribed just got hit yesterday, and since then I've been reading up on the whole thing. The scam started a few months ago, and it appears to be accelerating. So if you see a reminder in your subscriptions for an upcoming livestream about Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), or whatever, from a channel that you don't recognize or remember subscribing to, that's the scam. You did subscribe to the channel, but that was before it got hijacked and renamed.
Of course there are many scams on YouTube, but this one is noteworthy because it can appear in anyone's subscriptions at any time. You don't have to be the sort of person who goes looking for get-rich-quick schemes.
