Today at the monthly used Japanese book sale, I found a 7-VCD set from Taiwan (I think) of Maria, a 2001 J-dorama starring Gotō Maki. Japanese audio and only Chinese subs, but hey, it only set me back $1.75.

I got a couple of killer deals during CDJapan's most recent sale:

Reborn ~Inochi no Audition~ DVD (70% off! Only ¥1200!)

Emy Jackson – The Emy Jackson Album CD (50% off! Only ¥1191!) — Not H!P, but it includes "Crying in a Storm (Namida no Taiyou)," which Melon Kinenbi later covered.

(I also got TsuShiMaMiRe's latest CD, Mamire Mania 20, but that was at full price and has no H!P connection.)

I just got these Morning Musume｡ Miyajima postcards from 2004 on eBay. The seller was selling them as lots of one to three cards. If the entire set had been available, I would have bought all the cards, but since some were already missing, I limited myself to those lots that contained favorite members that hadn't been sold yet. I did pretty well in that regard, though I'm bummed that Aichan's card wasn't available.

You know, I've always bought my stuff from CDJapan but I've been experimenting with Amazon Japan (via their Amazon Global option) lately and other than CDJapan exclusives I'm switching over.

I just had a package unable to be delivered because customs fees were not payed.
Have to go collect it and pay the fee. The whole point was to avoid this.

Cancelled all my H!P orders via Amazon Japan & re-ordered them via CDJapan.

I found a sealed, first press, regular edition B of ANGERME's Otome no Gyakushuu / Taiki Bansei for $2.99 at Amoeba Music in San Francisco this afternoon. I was fairly certain that I already had this version of the single (and I did), but I thought it would be worth the gamble for the photocard. I didn't get the same card as last time, but alas it wasn't one of my favorites. Oh well, you win some, you lose some. One other issue: the case has a small crack in it, which unfortunately crosses Ayacho's face.

Today I bought a used double LP of the Peanuts' Best Star W Deluxe (that's the rōmaji title, but the katakana say ベスト・スター・ダブル・デラックス Best Star Double Deluxe). It's a greatest hits compilation from 1979 that includes six (all?) of their songs that W covered: Koi no Vacance, Tsukikage no Napoli, Kanashiki 16-sai, Jōnetsu no Hana, Koi no Fūga, and Furimukanaide.
