1) My brother signed up for Disney's "hurricane ride-out" crew
2) Brother did find a villa that's still around that area
3) My dad's on the phone with the mortgage company to see if he can work something out
1) It seems like Disney (not-so-shockingly) doesn't care about their employees. Even if he did get asked to help out, they offer no place for their families to stay.
2) Aaaaand that villa is almost 600 dollars for 3 nights. Don't think so!
3) While the guy at Quicken was very apologetic, he said they can only let him skip a payment if FEMA orders a mandatory evacuation. Seeing as how we're technically inland, that doesn't seem very likely.
Been looking for places in the panhandle and in south Alabama. Not having a ton of luck, which isn't even a surprise. I don't even care about where we can go; I just don't want to be here and be a sitting duck.
In other news, I have to get an injection in my right knee next month!
NHC thinks it could even go up to 5 within the next day or so.
