Now that I’ve had myself a good nap I can give a better impression of the girls. I’ll pass final judgment once I hear the new girls sing.

Mei is okay and she’ll be a fine middle tier girl.
Homura is adorable and she has a look that reminds me of Cuca. I have a feeling with her dance experience she’ll do well in that aspect. I hope so anyway. With her unique name she’s sure to be memorable.
Rio has a look and seems like a spitfire so I hope that part of her doesn’t get squashed within the group dynamics. She’s got the aura of a front girl. I hope I’m right. But that all hinges on how she sings so time will tell.

There's something about Homare that reminds me of a younger Yanamin. Rio seems like she'll be an interesting member, I also hope she doesn't get lost in the group dynamics.



Just found this on YT and haven't actually checked it out but it seems like Idol Mou Iccho got to meet 15th gen just after the livestream.

After watching it, a few things that stood out to me.

They had cameras when they went to meet Rio at least so hopefully we'll see some footage some day? Also Mei wasn't in the final stage of the audition. Rio really likes water, especially Volvic and apparently the water they have backstage and during concerts is Volvic so she was pleased. Their favourite songs are Joshi Kashimashi Monogatari (Mei), One Two Three (Homare), and Ai no Gundan (Rio).

Well this gen looks perfect. All cute and all talented.

Has the Japanese fan base done the deep dive into the two new girls yet? Any industry experience?

Also it’s super hard for me to have an opinion on them other than “they look cute... and like they have such and such character” without audition footage. I hope next week they let us see that so I can get a better understanding of who they are and where they stand. Also I want to know their personalities when they aren’t terrified

Also glad we got some younger girls into the mix. They came at a good time. It’s gonna be fun.

14 is a big number... but I’m really hoping we don’t get any graduation announcements for the fall concert. At least not until 2020

I’m hoping they hold off on any major graduations until after the olympics. There’s going to too much stuff going on and I don’t think Up-Front will want to compete with that. (They would lose).



They are back to their numbers after loosing Triple H [Haruna, Haruka and Haruna] so to me it feels like they are back to full strength. Well, after the warm up period.

Also a Morning Musume Olympics themed single would be a nice idea now that you bring it up

On another note I tried to stay up last night but passed out at 12:30 am.... 30 minutes before the live stream was airing in Japan... oh well lol

I’m hoping they hold off on any major graduations until after the olympics.

The one to worry about would be Ikuta. She seems like she's getting tired of the whole thing, even more than we've come to expect from her cool, standoffish character. I think she's still there simply to be with Fukumura (although she's also been suprisingly friendly with Maria). I also think that's one reason why Iikubo and then Ishida were named as sub-leaders, to have them already in position to avoid unnecessary disruptions.

Everyone else seems happy to go at least another year.
