Articles that I've read place the blame on oil refinery maintenance, as well as flooding in the Midwest, which has caused problems in transportation of ethanol to California.

Made it out to DC. It’s so hot and humid here. Chicago never got this warm so far this year.

My friend who lives near DC generally describes the summer weather as "ninety": 90 degrees Fahrenheit, 90 percent humidity.

Update on this: Had my labs done on the 10th, had my x-rays done on the 11th.
I got my lab results back yesterday. Feels weird saying that even though it's technically Wednesday now, lol.
Most things were negative or normal. My RDW is high and my BUN is one point below normal.

My ANA is positive/abnormal; the homogenous pattern is high. This is the one that kind of bothers me.
That pattern is usually an indicator of SLE or drug-induced lupus.
I had the homogenous pattern come back as high in 2017, so I had undergone a lot more extensive testing that came back negative. But things can change within two years. :|

I hope it turns out not to be lupus (although I think there are much better ways of managing it these days than there used to be), and if you do have it, I hope it's mild/manageable! Good luck!
If madness made us strong, we would all be invincible.

After almost eight weeks, Avengers: Endgame is still $44 million short of beating Avatar. How do we solve this problem?

This is how…

"Turn off for 2 seconds, turn on for 8 seconds."

It's absurd, but somehow it also appeals to me as a technical writer.

Meanwhile, I'm still working through the last case of incandescents that I bought before they were banned, because I refused to buy CFLs and LEDs were too new.

Avatar did the same thing. Rereleased the movie into theaters with an extra 9 minutes of film. So it’s not a new thing at all. The only difference is that Avatar released in late 2009 to get in for Oscar consideration and once it collected the awards it milked a few more pennies out of everyone by rereleasing again in theaters to cash in on the movie hype.
