Watching a bit of that Masaki-chan compilation Celedam posted in the YT thread made me sad to see those clips of Tsunku-san when he was still healthy. Also I noticed his body language when he was conversing with Michishige. He was leaning back and making sure to be respectful of her personal space. And it made me realize that there was never to my knowledge even the slightest hint of a #metoo type scandal in Tsunku-san's behavior. He set up an environment for young talent to be safely nurtured and maintained impeccably gentlemanly behavior throughout. So many people assume idol groups are inherently hotbeds for sleazy goings-on but in the case of H!P at least, it has been quite the opposite, a place where girls have been protected. Despite the rare scandals, I'd argue that from the available evidence, H!P girls and women are probably safer in H!P than in society at large.
