Also I just realized how hard it is to get into Morning Musume right now. Of the current girls, several of them had to audition more than once to get in (Maria, Kaede, Akane, Chisaki sort of - all the newer girls too) and at the moment more of the girls are former KSS or formerly part of a different group than not. The exact ratio is 7 girls formerly KSS or CG and only 4 girls who were "Off the street" so to speak. And even then Ayumi was back up dancer for Dorothy Little Happy and Ikuta was a talent for Elegant Promotion. Miki Nonaka doesn't have any former experience, but she did attend a fine arts school in Alabama. So technically I think the purest member of Morning Musume is Sato Masaki, who I'm pretty sure auditioned because her mother was a fan of the group.

So I guess what I'm saying is, that Morning Musume is currently functioning at a really high caliber and while I really want another Masaki, a young girl off the street with no former experience but a ton of potential, its more likely that we will get either a KSS or a girl with previous training/idol experience/entertainment experience etc. My fingers are crossed that we get one girl from off the street and at least one KSS, my bias being Riai.

I knew they would announce something during their single. Kinda was hoping for a reveal. Media event and all. But I’m looking forward to the live event. Morning Musume auditions have become a global concern and I’m glad the company realizes that people outside Japan care about these things too. I can’t wait!

I'm glad that they want to show it to everyone "globally" and that they are breaking that barrier of having it always exclusive at concerts to reveal the members. Concerts, we had to wait for footage or pictures to see them. Using social media video is the way to do it now.

Also I’m at a birthday event on that date, which means I’ll miss out on the live video announcement.
I don’t know how youtube works when it comes to live videos, but will the live video still be up after airing like an NRL match you can still watch it after the match is over? Or will the video disappear and be deleted after airing?
