Last month...

Went to my GI doctor yesterday and went over the biopsies from a couple weeks ago. Aside from obvious inflammation, everything was normal. No gluten allergies!
I got another order for labs since I couldn't find time to do them with the last order. If my iron is still low, he told me I'll probably have to swallow one of those pill cameras. Neat!

For the first time in years, I am not anemic. No pill camera for me! Got a new Rx for the UC medication, and I have a follow-up in 6 months.

I'm going to see Endgame tomorrow!

I'm planning to see it at a Saturday matinee and spend what little will be left of the afternoon at the Bay Area Book Festival.

Monday I'll be going to a free preview screening of Tolkien with a fellow Tolkien scholar. I won tickets in Landmark Theatres' online contest, but since they overbook these things, I'll need to get there early to make sure that we get in.

It's been rainy for three days now. It rained, snowed, and everything in between (including freezing rain that hurts your face) last Saturday. At least it'll be nicer this weekend... before it rains all week again next week.

Ditto again (because Detroit is east of Chicago, of course). In fact, that's the top story around here: people are very concerned about how we'll handle another two or three inches over the next week when the ground is already saturated and the stormwater control measures (SCMs) are already overloaded.

(today i learned that the proper term is "stormwater control measures", because being a technical writer means worrying about proper terminology even for bullshit forum posts like this one.)

If I hadn’t gone for a walk this evening, I wouldn’t have come across these two. This is about five blocks away from my neighborhood so it’s probably the same two. They are done with the side streets and now starting to hit the Avenues.
