^ I've been in those in New Mexico and Pennsylvania. Reminds me of a 4th of July I experienced in a town in Pennsylvania that I wll never forget while watching the fireworks at a park on large a hill. Right at the final crescendo display (which never occurred) because all hell broke loose from the sky. Wind, rain, thunder, lightning, then sirens, etc. I thought it was Armageddon! Everyone went running in the dark night. To get to our car we had to walk down the middle of a street for half a mile with water running over our ankles. Trees were down and roads home were blocked off by police due to flooding. Power failures etc. It was a mess. It sounded much like this (scary):

With all the rain in the Oakland area we are still 4 inches below the norm.

In my mind, I can still see the live news helicopter video feed of the tsunami washing over farmland and sweeping away cars on a highway.

I was wondering why March 11th was important. When Yanamin's graduation day was announced, I couldn't remember for the life of me why that date was important but I just pushed it into the back of my mind. I would investigate it later., but work got the best of me and I forgot. And then the date just kept coming up again and again. Why was March 11th important? Thanks for reminding me.

I can't believe it's been 8 years.

Time certainly flies.

Yesterday I was reading Slayers & Vampires: The Complete Uncensored, Unauthorized Oral History of Buffy & Angel and noticed the date of Buffy's premiere: March 10, 1997. Holy crap, it was the anniversary! And had it really been twenty-two years?!

I think I've reached the point where public event and pop-culture history time is so stretched and warped that it all looks like a bunch of imaginary numbers: That was how-many-times-the-square-root-of-minus-one years ago???

I had my second ever EGD/colonoscopy this morning! It'll probably be the highlight of my week.

Doc said everything regarding my colitis looked pretty good. They took some biopsies to check for things like gluten intolerance, though.
I still have to get labs and some other stuff done, but I have a follow up on the 27th.

I have an appointment on the 25th to see the neurosurgeon, so it'll be interesting to see how that goes.
