If it's pre-recorded they have the chance to film their part during the day, and have it air later during regular show hours.

Music Japan is broadcasted at what, 1am? And HPT is on at around that time, too. If anything H!P members are always on at late night shows cause they usually don't make it to the prime-time ones. But most shows late at night are pre-recorded (most shows in general, really) so it's never a problem. Up until you're 20 you're not allowed to work past 10pm though.
