So definitely not saying that Airi isn't talented or doesn't deserve this is any way...

But does Airi-alone (really) command that many idol-fans/enough fans that are willing to shell out and attend a Budokan concert? I know she tends to rank in the respected-idols list but...

Nevertheless I'm excited for her and this would be a pretty big (biggest push for a graduated H!P member?) push on UF*s end to expect Airi to fill out Budokan. It'll be great (freeish) publicity for her solo activities.

I'm expecting them to announce the album for sometime between the initial smaller concerts and Budokan now.

S/mileage campaigned hard to get fans to attend their first Budokan concert and it sold out. They also got other H!P acts to perform too. Tsunku gave them a goal to sell 8,000 tickets.

Airi and Upfront can campaign like this.

Will Airi wrestle Momoko, Miyabi, and Maimi? :fear:

(In S/Mileage's first Budokan show the wrestled each other.)

I fully expect there to be some special guests (musical or otherwise) at her Budoukan show to help out. But 8000 seats? For a one-off, first live in Tokyo of an established veteran idol? This doesn't seem anywhere near impossible.

If my memory is accurate, the aforementioned S/mileage's Budokan concert had most of the upper level seats not used, so "sold out" does not mean the same universally - its seatings can be configured accordingly to the demand to a degree after all.
Still 8k (out of max 14K+ seating capacity) is like more than double of a typical plaza/concert hall capacity, nothing to sneeze at.
