I haven't done this in awhile because it's kinda all over the place - Morning Musume

1. Haruna Iikubo - This ain't changing till she leaves. I keep gearing for it but I'll never be ready.
2. Ayumi Ishida - while second, I don't think she's going to be my Oshi when Haruna leaves (If she doesn't leave first anyway), she'll probably stay 2nd. I'm comfortable with her second.
3a. Reina Yokoyama - She's definitely going in a direction I love. She's so interesting.
3b. Miki Nonoka - I can't help but like her. She's talented, she has a cute, awkward personality, and she stage presence is starting to get really good. I like the fact she's the "American" member too.
3c. Maria Makino - Everytime I think she's going to go down the list, she does something that keeps her right where she is.
3d. Kaede Kaga - She's great.

On the 3's - They are kind of all on the same level right now for different reasons, one of them is going to end up being my Oshi when Harunan leaves but I'm on the fence as to which one. It's really hard for me to put them into a rank because they flip flop A LOT but at the same time their on the same level... if that makes sense? So I just lump them together in my head. I think once I decide on my favorite of them, they'll probably disperse.

6. Haruka Kudo
7. Mizuki Fukumura
8. Chisaki Morito - I'm really just putting her here cuz she defaults here till I get to know her.
9. Eripon
10. Haruna Ogata
11. Akane Haga.

Again I don't really dislike any of them, but someone has to be at the bottom.

^ Unless I'm going blind AKB's not even on the list this year.

(Nor for that matter Perfume or E-Girls.) And wtf Kana Nishino's 55K attendees per concert average is crazy. I mean TVXQ and BIGBANG with 52K/51K are right behind her but they have to split their earnings between the duo/group.

I mentioned this in Discord but since 2012 I do a yearly ranking that I keep track of. I only have ever posted it on MM-BBS but this year I decided to use my new found google sheet skills and really track it better. It’s separate from my mid year ranks where I do it just for fun.

All I can say is. A lot happens in a year to push girls up and down. Leaving, coming in, being demoted to part timer, coming back from hiatus. There’s a lot I consider when doing my yearly vote. Anyway, here it is.
