Woooooo Taylor Swift's new song



I like it as a song but not as a Taylor Swift comeback. Not liking the whole concept of the album so far, but then we haven't seen very much. It's just... "Shake It Off" was about how she didn't care what people say about her. This looks like a reaction to people's opinions and actions, and it seems a bit childish.

That chorus can kinda go to hell. Reminds me way to much of Megahn Trainor going "IF I WAS YOU I'D WANNA BE ME TOO" over and over again.

I kinda like he song overall but... I'd like it better if it wasn't Taylor Swift. Not that I hate Taylor Swift, Wildest Dreams is one of my favorite songs of all time. It's just since you know she writes about her life, you know exactly what this refers to if you follow American music, so it comes of as holding a grudge and an unwillingness to let go. That the criticism (Which some was valid) is making her get jaded and angry, which really sours the song a bit.

Honestly, the whole "everyone is so mean and unfair to me/I'm the victim here" thing... How is this any different from the ~old~ Taylor?
Like, she's gonna be 30 in a couple years. I think it's probably time for her to learn that not everyone is going to like her or say nice things about her.

I think the song and lyric video is pretty hot but I agree with AH that it would've been better if it had come from someone else other than Swift, who is blessed with beauty, talent, power, and tremendous wealth, and yet is constantly griping about people doing her dirty.

gone - what a shame

I knew LiSA was good from the Anime "Angel Beats!" but I didn't know she was AWESOME. You guys!?

T Swift's video for Look What You Made me Do dropped and if you thought the song was bad about her whining, this is right up here with "Leave me Alone" by Michael Jackson during his slow descent into madness when he became obsessed with everything the media was saying. I'm not in a place to link it though.

The visuals are pretty nice, I like zombie Taylor, but I rolled my eyes pretty hard when I saw the tombstone said "Here lies Taylor Swift's reputation."

I have to admit I enjoyed the ending with all of the Taylor's arguing with each other, it felt like old Taylor making fun of herself, but I think this time it's played pretty straight which is a bit of a shame.

The Floor - Nonfiction

I managed to catch Perfume's latest two on Google Play yesterday, but yes I missed the live. Of the two I guess Everyday is catchier...however that Bieber-esque production kind of sticks out for me.

More importantly, a big thanks for "Nonfiction," I predict myself listening to that quite a bit.
