Well dang if this is what Seventeen sounds like I'm going to have to check them out. I'm already a fan of PRISTIN and NU'EST, might as well add another Pledis group.

Yeah Seventeen actually have really good songs!! I don't really think the songs are similar to their style but the concept is.
Really good seventeen songs are Mansae, Adore U, and Aju Nice.

Aldo yeah I agree Weki Meki is a mess but Doyeon always has her modelling gig going for her so there's that.

Okay this is more what I was expecting, but honestly I'm glad they didn't make it the title track because it wouldn't have stood out as much as Energetic. I'm glad they released a music video for it though, I really like the way they wrote their names. Also Ong (Ong Seongwoo but he'll just be Ong to me forever) is everything for me in this group

I ended up being lazy to watch the whole series (I did watch all the performances tho), but Ong has always been one of my favorites, pretty much for the same reasons you listed. I also like the tone of his voice. It reminds me of some anime guy with a king complex.

Season 2 just has so much guys with potential and the producers really took note on what songs works with them best. It's like they learned all their mistakes with I.O.I. I'm just glad they'll last longer.

Speaking of I.O.I, Gugudan's subunit, Gugudan OGUOGU (5959) made their debut with "Ice Chu." The members are the two youngest, Mina (#9) and Hyeyeon (#5).



It's fun. Kinda reminds me of Orange Caramel. Hyeyeon is the main singer in the unit, which is a good thing since she doesn't get to showcase her vocals in the main group. (That's Sejeong and Haebin's job.) Poor thing was so nervous in their live performance.

My favorite in Season Two ended up being Kang Dongho (Lead Vocal in the Playing with Fire performance, known for his Boy in Luv performance) and it really looked like he might make it, but right at the end in the last TWO HOURS, it got snatched from him. That's okay though because it got me exposed to NU'EST who I know really like.

Ong was my second favorite throughout the whole competition and him getting in basically cinched him as my bias. I honestly can't get over how hilarious he is. His comedic timing is something else.

I actually really like that OGUOGU song, you're right it really remind me of Orange Caramel (When do they get a comeback HMMM PLEDIS?). Mina is so cute in this, so I just keep watching her be cute .

Yall basically keep me informed of what the IOI girls are doing, so I appreciate that. I really loved IOI.

^ I also ended up liking Dongho. Him, Daniel, and the baby (I don't remember his name) are the three that left the most lasting impression on me. Though I only managed to get through 5 or so episodes (6? they weren't well organized) of PD101 S2 before giving up because of how difficult they were to find, and because I'm just not as invested.

I'm more excited for PD101S3 (and Idol School, The Unit, and Sixteen 2).

My top 4 was Dongho, Ong, Daniel, Samuel/Jonghyun (They switched depending on the episode) so I was pretty livid when Dongho/Sam/Jonghyun didn't make it over some BS Mnet pulled in the last 2 hours of the live show. Daniel kinda cinched me watching the show with his "I'm Harry Pot" then building "Wingardiam Leviosa" INTO A RAP. I had to support him.

I'm currently watching Idol School. I like these types of shows though, the only Mnet show I really couldn't get into was Boys24. I really tried but it was kind of boring. Idol School is fun, not quite as good as the monster that is Produce 101 but it's watchable. I have high hopes for the group even though Natty keeps dropping >.> The other two SIXTEEN girls seem to be safe, someone save Natty too! Really liked the first Eval, but Jesus "Rookie" was a mess.

That Oguogu song is fun. I get the Orange Caramel comparisons, but I also feel like it's something Crayon Pop would've done. Mina is so cute with that lil ice cream cone earring.

DIA has a comeback soon. The teaser photos have like no budget, but the look of them is pretty interesting. They have some good songs, so I'm looking forward to it.
PRISTIN has a comeback soon, too. I hope it's self-produced again!

After listening to Weki Meki's EP, I truly believe KPop has an unwritten "worst song as title track" rule. Either Stay with Me or Fantastic would've been great for the title track.

For anyone else as interested in the sisters as I am; SPL∞ASH, the group Ruru's sister is part of, became the finalists for their leg of the Idol Matsuri competition. Riri didn't perform with the group, but she was in the crowd wearing her member color (and a Staff badge on her pants, as seen on her Twitter) and they briefly showed her during the talk segment before the final announcement. I assume she couldn't participate because of her connection to H!P and their connection to the competition, but I don't know if that's true.
