So I really like Hatsukoi Sunrise and Uruwashi no Camellia, but Just Try! is bad. Especially for an a-side and a debut song. It would've been whatever as an album song or a c/w or whatever, but it feels so... generic? The lyrics are good though.

Though this is the first really terrible song Tsunku's written in ages and they can't all be winners, lol. But I'm still disappointed.

Nah I completely agree. It has the makings of a good song it's just so all over the place that it's not appealing in the least

I'm really starting to like Mao. She looks like an ordinary schoolgirl who randomly joined an after school club which turned out by chance to be "hello! project," and has simply decided to give it her all. Every time they give a performance at a large venue she's saying to herself, "I don't remember the school auditorium looking this big before but ...oh well!" or "It's nice for all our parents to show up to the talent show like this...so many supportive fathers and older brothers in the audience! " etc.
