My question was more "Are they aware of their resemblance and what the fans think about it?"

According to that photo and blog post, their answer is yes and they're willing to play it up. That's not a typical backstage selfie, that's deliberately posed to highlight their resemblance. It's a wink and a nod to the fans. Good for them.

Apparently the other Hello Project members are always telling her how much Ayano looks like her as well. And in the dark Sayuki has actually mistaken Ayano for Karin once

I feel like there should be a stage play completely dedicated to their resemblance. If styled and dressed the same, they'd be impossible to tell apart from far away on a stageXD
