Morning Musume is always reinventing and reshaping the girls to be the best they can be. Even in the kenshuusei you can see how much they have changed from when they started to where they are now.

Momohime reminds me a lot of young Aibon. I wouldn't mind seeing her in the group but I don't think I'd like to see the type of fans she brings.

I believe Aika was 16 or 17, the same age as Honey. Fukuhime was 14/15 and Eripon was 13/14. From Goto on they have had young girls, so it's not really that much of a change or surprise.

^ Exactly this. I have no problem with 12 and 13 year olds. My problem with Momohime, as far as being part of Morning Musume, wouldn't be her actual age - it's that she looks like she's still 9.

I like her young look, I wouldn't mind it in MM personally. It's why I personally like Momohime~

For me Sexy Cat isn't even a sexy song if you take away the costumes and the PV, which after 13th Gen joins will probably not be a thing. S/mileage has way sexier moves in their Choreography than anything in Sexy Cat and the lyrics only have the word 'sexy' in it. I don't want to count out Momohime not being able to do 'cool' either. I'd like to see her try first. If she has the confidence to do it, it won't matter how she looks, she'll pull it off. (That's why Maria does it so well I think, and why Akane and Nonaka struggle. Though Akane has it the worst by tending to look like she's dressing up in her mother's clothes when they try to do her up "mature")

In the end it's just a differences in preferences of course~ Sometimes KSS picks are obvious, and sometimes they seem completely out of left field.
