Reading the comments on that video, one person says he came to watch the video because he listened to TRF's radio show. Where they talked about Tsunku working well with the music in the 90s and these days too. And how TRF once did a collab with MM and that the person from TRF was mighty impressed. TRF person also said that he wanted to ask Tsunku if they couldn't do a collab-live at some point.

Awesome story. :3

It's the same old question of "Are they idols or are they artists?" Other idol groups may do better with marketing and fan service, but when it comes to actual performance skills, MM gets real respect from real artists.

I never noticed that much before but Kanon's legs are like little tree trunks. Or a pair of those battering rams that the cops use on doors. I think she might rival AKB's Nacchan for "thickest legs in Jpop."

And I will forever say artists rather than idols. ~.~ But they do photobooks and all that idols do.
Or one should just say, talented idols.
They're a bit like AAA, actually. Though I don't know if they do photobooks, they're a dancing and singing pop group.
What do people count them as?

Good question, they can't be considered a boyband even though Avex tried to split them up a couple of times. They really are a pretty unique group.

Maybe just a popgroup who actually sings and dance? :shifty:
Could be what MM is. :3

Oh my gosh, you might be right  A popgroup that actually has decent singers and dancers?! :giggle:

Yeah, it's pretty rare these days. I'd say their other unique selling point would be them consisting of boys and girls, you don't see that often where it also works. Morning Musume is kind of like that group where they're better than the usual idol groups, to the point of being taken more seriously. They only don't have anything unique about them in comparison to the other groups. I regard Buono! as another group that is actually very talented :3

C-ute are damn talented too. But they're more idols than MM is, if you ask me. I might be biased though I don't know.
In general H!P has a high quality to it that... to me, other idol groups just don't have.

Totally agreed, especially when they dance. That's why I like them as well, even though a bit less than MM and Buono! because some of their songs are a hit and miss to me. Their last album was great though.

Agreed again, in general. But not all of them are good or consistent, they're still more on the idol side.
