It's relative. I figure she ranks that highly simply because she's in the flagship group. She's still behind most of her seniors (poor Risa) and one of her juniors.

I suppose it's more accurate to say she's not a breakout member and never will be.

I'm surprised she ranks higher than Risa these days, I remember it being the other way around a while back. Then again, H!P shop sales vary a LOT from month to month, I think Mixi ratings are a somewhat ... better way of evaluating. Like, there is no way ManoEri and Sayumin are more popular than Ai, Airi and Reina.

Considering H!P shop sales figures come from one shop and there are varying factors, such as stock issues, that also affect overall results, it doesn't exactly seem like an accurate gauge of popularity.

Overall, when combining Mixi rankings, Yahoo auction rankings, concert goods sales trend etc, Ai/Reina/Airi are pretty much rock solid as the top 3 in terms of popularity in H!P.
