I'm just not gonna say about those outfits. Love the baseball themed outfits, though.

The color scheme and the use of dots gives me vague memories of something from my childhood, maybe a TV show, but I can't at all place exactly what it is.

My first impression was of Brazilian Carnival, with the feathers and headdresses and green-and-yellow color scheme. But since you've said that, I also get some flashes of H.R. Pufnstuf.

^ Bozo! Thank you. I totally forgot about that show. I think I was remembering some mix of that and "The Big Comfy Couch", though that main character wore stripes most of the time.

Edit: Even if it's gone, thanks for the reminder.
---- ---- ---- ----

I wasn't sure if I liked the costumes, but the headpieces (and hair/makeup) have won me over.

^ Yes, I originally said Bozo the Clown because of the ruffles (i.e., "I also get some flashes of H.R. Pufnstuf and Bozo the Clown"), but then I edited it out because Bozo's blue-and-red is the exact opposite of green-and-yellow. The colors make more of an impression on me than anything else.

Have we mentioned lately how pretty this group is? Even Taguchi with her weird smile has her moments.

That's what I like about Hello! Project: they may not be as conventionally beautiful and crowd-pleasing as AKB48 or E-girls or pretty much any K-pop group, but each of them is extraordinarily pretty in her own characteristic way. They're interesting, when most idols simply are not.
