It is announced today that Tsunku will be a special orchestra conductor at a charity concert on March 11th, 2016 for orphaned children affected by the earthquake.

Confirmed then! It's exactly the school I thought it was. I have taught English twice at both of those schools and I knew the old ALT at Shuntoku really well since I worked with her every week. This is just so exciting for me since it still weirds me out how I got placed in the one school district with a connection to Tsunku the moment I came to Japan. And even more so when out of all the ALTs they brought over for that district, the only one who knew who Tsunku was and was a fan of his music (me) was the one who just happened to get placed in the Elementary School he graduated from. I had some ups and downs working there (it's a rather poor area where he comes from, a lot of broken families and kids with chips on their shoulders) but for the most part it will always have a special place in my heart and the fact that I had the opportunity to lessen the amount of degrees of separation between me and someone I admire a lot made it even more special.

If they paid more I'd go back there

In a taping for a J-MELO episode/press conference today, It is announced that Tetsuya Komuro (composer) and Tsunku (lyrics) are collaborating to make a song together and it will be sang by May J. (a new J-MELO opening song). Tetsuya talks about his experience working with Tsunku. Singer LiSA will sing the new J-MELO ending theme song. Episode airs April 3rd.
