I did a double take at 14th week. It was still summer vacation here in many US schools when this song came out.

congrats on the nomination.

The winner for Japan Record Award Artist of the year and "Best" New Artist Award will be announced live on the TBS broadcast, 12/30. Kobushi Factory will probably be on the award show and perform if they win.

Today, Kobushi Factory and other artists appeared at press conference for the 57th annual Nihon Record Taishou to be recognized for their achievements. Leader Hirose Ayaka says she hopes to win the Best New Artist award so they can follow in the footsteps of their Hello! Project senpai, who have won many awards.

I think the last single to keep on charting like this was Balalaika, wasn't it? If so, it's been 9 years since. I love that it just keeps on going.

How are events still bringing in money by this point? @_@ How many copies of this single do the wota own by now XD!!! Unless it's from the award that the slaes are coming from.

Also I rather wish they'd get a new single soon. I think it would be cooler and more telling for them to have two singles charting at the same time

A new single has been announced for february..... if they start promoting that one, this one will stop selling. At least let's get it to 50k. xD

Apparently they are still selling signed posters with this single at every concert they have which might explain some of the sales.

It's not just signed posters, they continue to do handshake events at the concerts:

12/19 & 12/20 handshake events
http://www.helloproject.com/event/detai ... 0250c5390/
http://www.helloproject.com/event/detai ... 370fb564e/

But those are, for now, the last scheduled handshake events, there are no more listed on the Hello! Project website. That could mean that this extraordinary chart run could come to an end soon.

All these events might not always be directly profitable, but this is clearly done to create a fan base for the group. Get enough people to meet them often enough and they will stick with them. It doesn't really do anything for foreign fans, but the local fans will not be disappointed that they can meet them so often.
