Baking/Cooking Thread!

I made lasagna again about a week and a half ago. I used Italian sausage instead, and it was much better that way.

On Sunday, I made pineapple upside-down cake:



I'm not a big pineapple fan, but my mom really wanted this cake, so I made it special for her.

When i was a kid, i ate far too much pineapple upside-down cake!

I made chocolate almond biscotti last night. It's fine, but I probably should've left out the almond extract.


Next time I'm gonna try it with spice cake mix.

Was the extract too strong?

Yeah, it was pretty strong despite not being that much. A little goes a long way with that stuff.

Going to the Armenian food festival today got me wanting to try out more of the recipes in my two Armenian cookbooks (and online). I definitely want to make some eetch for a couple of potluck gatherings I have coming up.

Keeping up with tradition, we had ribs for Thanksgiving this year. And other stuff, too.
Me and my mom made some pies. Two sweet potato and two pecan.

Baked some chocolate chip cookies this evening.



Also made oatmeal cookies the other day.



The oven in my apartment is kind of dumb, but I'm slowly figuring it out.

My mom started making tomato soup. I finished it. My first time using an immersion blender!



It definitely isn't vegetarian btw. Bacon is involved.
