I feel like I'm the only one who doesn't want Maachan to stop her squeak voice. I love both of her singing voices a lot, but it was her squeak voice that first caught my attention and what made me become a fan of hers in the first place (I picked it out of One Two Three and had to know whose voice it was singing that 'te'). I love the uniqueness of her voice and the power and emotion she can put behind it. And in unison, now that Sayu's voice is gone, that uniqueness is dreadfully needed as it helps round out the unison parts and make a more complex, interesting sound to listen to.

If I could compare her natural singing voice to anything, it would be an electric violin, which I also enjoy the sound of.

I really like that she keeps her squeak in Ima Sugu recording. It's the way she ends notes and just the tone

EDIT: Also, watching Riho in the recording booth is great. She's so professional and seems to get things quickly. There are a lot of hard lines to sing in this song, it's definitely got some complicated vocal acrobats going on

Same for me! I got into them before OTT, but it was her high voice in that song that got me curious and I became a fan haha
I guess One Two Three was a turning point for Maachan's popularity?

Overall, I'm not feeling this single. Oh My Wish seems to try too hard and miss the mark in a lot of ways. The highlight being that Kanon looks great and gets screen time. Sukatto is repetitive and a botched attempt at trying to do what Dance Man does with songs. Ima Sugu is rather underwhelming for the first two thirds, but thankfully becomes something special from the bridge through until the end. Does a lot to show how Masaki is bringing the star power these days, when Riho has been looking rather tired.

I feel like Maachan is finally becoming the idol I knew she'd be when I fell in love with her during her introduction at the Ai BELIEVE concert. I'm happy to be her fan. brb, worshipping my signed PPU poster.

Watching that, it's no wonder the song sounded so robotic. The girls really had a hard time with the song. But it seems they eventually got better with it because I really liked their live ver. when we first heard it.
Mizupon's voice o.o It's so sweet <3 She seemed like the one with the least issues. Leader has come far since being a surprise addition to gen 9.
Riho, I saw her do that hand circle thing in some other footage where the group did vocal excersises/warm ups, really seems to be her most go-to mechanism for reaching her high notes.
Maachan's still working on her lower voice, but I think, that once she masters it, she will pretty much be like Meimi, a vocal powerhouse who learned not to sing squeeky. But, I believe she'll someday find the balance of her unique voice and her powerful voice. She's an evil genius after all
