[8/19] Morning Musume。'15 59th single - Oh my wish!/Sukatto My Heart/Ima Sugu Tobikomu Yuuki

yeah i like how the first verse focused on the dance and the second the singing team! i liked that.
but in general Oh my wish is still 100x better than their last single and Tiki Bun so thats a plus.

Generally, I like it!

It's great to see Zukki and Duu finally given the spotlight! Kanon looks really great and they look so cute together. Although I miss that shared look they had in the H!P concert preview. Some of the things that bug me is things like Duu's exaggerated expressions in (most of) her close ups. Maybe this is due her not being used to long solo shots or/and mainly doing magazine shootings where this stuff isn't obvious. Still love her though and I think she does better in the scenes with the other girls. I also get annoyed by Masaki's "cute-faces" she does in some of her close ups (especially around 2:30~2:35, it just looks like she's in pain) . It doesn't fit the song and I think she looks so much better when she that more serious look on her face -I prefer cool Maachan in performances/MV's over her quirky-side.

Another thing that came to mind is like most of you already said: the lack of screen time for the dance team. I was kind of surprised, I don't think I've ever seen so little Riho in any MM video. It's a shame the four aren't featured in the couch-scene.

I love Oh My Wish. Basically the single goes as my love for each song. Sukatto is second followed by Ima Sugu.

The dance team will get plenty of time in the other music videos and that's the point. They are background members this time. They are there just to look cool and be fancy with their dancy.

Indeed, this is only one third of the single and there really is no... obviously "weaker" "less pushed" song I feel like... they started with Sukatto and then Oh my Wish and now we're seeing all the stuff for Ima Sugu so I'm wondering if we'll get that next, before coming full circle back to Sukatto. Riho obviously rules Sukatto, and even if she isn't center on Ima Sugu, she and Mizuki as well are practically lead vocals along with MaaChel.

I love this whole idea of letting different girls shine in different singles and I hope they do it again, even if it isn't the "main" song of the single... Even if it's the "third" song and not promoted as much, if they're sticking with the three song idea from now on, the variety is what keeps it interesting. All of the wota have at least one song that they're invested in singer wise. I'm sure the rankings for favourite song on this single vary greatly between different fans.

I'd be surprised if anyone has a huge fit about Mizuki/Ayumi/Riho not being there for one song. They're in every other song. All the time. This is like the Affirmative Action song for the back girls. I'm pretty sure even Riho/Mizuki/Ayumi are like "Yeah I'll let you have this one."

ERIPON and her fans, however, probably have a leg to stand on. I'd be a little salty if I were them.

As an Eripon oshi I'm not even a bit salty. She's way more featured than she usually is. You can see her much better. I don't have struggle to spot her amidst all the girl. And it's one way to feature her and praise her. They put her with the good dancers. (Of course, many girls in MM are better dancers than her but still).

No honestly I have nothing to complain about.

I got to admit, I was a bit salty about the H!S version. The current version fulfills my needs as an Eripon fan.

NHK is having a bunch Summer events with public radio show recordings, and live performances held at Belle Salle Akihabara called "NHK WONDERLAND 2015" on 7/18~7/20. Morning Musume. '15 invited as guest on Hyadain's "Girlpop" radio show special public recording on 7/19 from 4pm to 6:30pm. Morning Musume. '15 will perform. The special is scheduled to air in August on NHK-FM
