Is the third round generally the training camp round?

As I understand it…

First round: General, nationwide call for applicants.

Second round: Regional callbacks; winners are sent on to UFA headquarters in Tokyo.

Third round, a.k.a. the semi-finals: Regional winners come to Tokyo to be seen by Tsunku and the UFA staff; winners are sent to the training camp.

Fourth round, a.k.a. the finals: The training camp and final performance for Tsunku; winners join MM, honorable mentions join the Eggs.

Existing Eggs (e.g., Mizuki in the last audition, hopefully Karin in this one) jump straight to the third round.

The actual bosses of UFA are Naoki Yamazaki and his daughter Yukako. They make the final decisions. Just watch any H!P DVD and see who is credited as the Executive Producer.

In fact, when Aibon and Miki both talked about having to meet with the boss after their respective scandals -- Miki during an episode of YanTan, Aibon in her comeback interview -- they both meant Mr. Yamazaki. I don't know why that sticks with me, but it does.

Tsunku is more like the creative director and celebrity figurehead. His advice to the Yamazakis is usually followed, but he can be overruled.

today, a girl name Mika claims on her ameba blog says she was in this round of audition, and says the auditions are finished for her in her blog entry title. she made a blog post and its set to private.

she just turned 16, from Hyogo Prefecture, she knows rhythmic gymnastics and ballet. She likes H!P, KisMyFt2 and Super Girls. her profile lists so many things about her, almost endless. she goes to many auditions, 9th gen, 10th gen, NMB48.
