[4/15] Morning Musume。'15 58th single "Seishun Kozou ga Naiteiru / Yuugure wa Ameagari / Ima Koko Kara"

It was a bit messy and could have used some better coherence and editing.

THAT being said: The subway scenes where it showed each girls personality pretty much made the whole PV a win. That was an inspired idea and it was well executed.

I've watched it like a bajillion times now. It stands out really well, even with some of the flaws. It's really, really good.

showcasing their personalities, giving us a plethora of gif-able moment, making it feel very action-y with the scenes on top of the train, the train theme in general (the sign that says "< Morning | Evening | Morning >" ), school uniforms (perfect for a group with "musume" in the name where everyone is 20 and under!), having some really memorable moments that anyone can reference ("I saw a video where some girls poked holes in a screen, peeked through, and sang the whole song from behind there.." "Ah, the MV with girls running on top of trains?") and the humor are all things i really love about this version. i wish it was 1080p because on my TV it doesn't look as HD as the other version! (looks good on my computer screen tho)

decided to add this because i didn't talk enough about the good points. also Shibue's style is amazing.. everything is clearly CG (except for the props they actually hold/touch/sit on), but it somehow looks really really good, especially when you consider he does it all himself AND on limited time.

Looks like everyone had fun filming!! Might be the most interesting Momusu. MV in years. I like it.

The dance setting was pretty, but it doesn't make sense to cover that much of the body when you're trying to show off a dance - and it definitely didn't work with this many people all squished together.

Hiding their legs made it look extra messy to me (it doesn't seem like the most organized dance in the first place), and giving me less to focus on with rest of the girls hidden made 12th generation's lackluster dancing stand out even more (why was there a random closeup in the brown dance bit, near the end, of Akane barely moving her arm?).

I really liked the idea of giving everyone their own little "thing" to do on the train, and most of the train scenes (could have done without the jump). I feel like there were some solid ideas that needed to be trimmed down. I almost wish someone else had won the contest.

I'm probably going to put the PVs from this single on in the background to listen to the songs, but I don't know if I'll actually watch any of them as much as I usually would.

i appreciate that he included little things about the girls characters like kabedon, and Eripon's selfies.

I'm still trying to decide whether Riho is doing calligraphy or math at 1:21.

I really, really liked this version -- it has just the kind of brilliant, dreamlike artistic craziness that I tend to go for, and I think that it brought out a lot of the quirky musical elements of the song.
And it's just plain fun to watch.
