Actually now that I think of it, it's probably really easy to edit Karins solo shots out of both PVs.

I was doing this yesterday with Seishun. At first I thought I can edit the full PV to get Karin out of it but I couldn't do it, so I just did the first part and edited the song to skip ahead to the dance break + final chorus.
Despite having experience doing AMVs years ago, I'm still not any good at editing, so some parts aren't going to flow/transition well =( Also the video quality died a lot =/
I tried to pick out from both H!S and PV since they had different scenes.

So much hyperbole in this thread, that there's no use getting upset about it. It's better to ignore these people, who are still repeating themselves after so many pages.

What hyperbole? The solo scenes have been counted and Karin very clearly walked away with the most. By a wide margin. It's unexpected since she was just supposed to be filling in, and we expected her hidden in a dark corner.

Now, the people refusing to ever watch the PV again is a bit much. Karin was the best thing to look at in those PVs. Such a shame she never got into MM.

I really wouldn't have minded if Karin had about the same amount of solo shots as Riho/Mizuki honestly. About twice as much, though, is overkill for any girl (I believe mutterings would have been made no matter what girl it was... unless a back girl). I love the Yuugure PV so much, but I have to admit I'm thrown out of the PV when there's long shots of Karin. I'm like: huh? Then it makes me think of how MM must of thought when they saw the video the first time. I get afraid of things like resentment being created between them... of Karin feeling bad, herself (it's got to be an awkward position to be put in, I know I'd feel very awkward. Kanon's apology makes it seem like SHE feels awkward about the whole situation now as well) Then other things like the fact that this new line-up isn't well known enough to be throwing other group members with such a big presence... I would have loved it if the title could have been the PV ft. Karin edit to make that clear...

I think there is a lot of huge reactions being made (some a bit extreme and constant which is probably not needed but people can get really passionate about things), but I don't think anyone's wrong for being upset, especially since most of it is behalf of the girls rather than because anyone dislikes Karin. Be what it may, but Idol fans get very attached to these girls, they want them to succeed and they get protective of them even if it's silly for them to be acting that way.

I have a tiny hope they'll put a Kanon version on youtube eventually, but I do know realistically, being a back girl, they probably won't go to the trouble they went with for Karin, since I think it's quite obvious now management love Karin A LOT for good or for bad. Maybe this was their own way of combating J=J not doing as well or not getting as much focus? (though if they had added Karin from J=J somewhere on the video that would have worked a ton more. I mean how is anyone going to look up who's in the video if they have no idea who she is. They'll just look up Morning Musume, get confused when they don't see her and if they're casual listeners/watchers just give up there)

On a lighter, more amusing note. I completely understand and appreciate the hairstyle rule that MM has now after this I kept mistaking Duu and Karin for each other in the Dance Shots of both PVs.

^^Uh, what? Just, no, lol Yes, I will admit to having thought of using Kanon scenes from other MVs but it wouldnt have worked unless I decide to put more days into it (which, no, I will not lol).

Gah, she should've Kabedon-ed Akane I just like that Akane likes her so much, it's so cute.

And yes Jessi, I am working on Yuugure The closeups in that are so good, I think at one point I had just an army of them, sacrificing a lot of the dance shots, but I also like the dance shots, so I am torn lol
