[4/15] Morning Musume。'15 58th single "Seishun Kozou ga Naiteiru / Yuugure wa Ameagari / Ima Koko Kara"

The amount of Karin solo shots bothered the hell out of me (especially in Yuugure), but other than that huge fuck up...

Seishun Kozou is really good. I'm digging the song a lot. All dat Ayumi . Not feeling Yuugure as much though.

But hey, we should be focusing on how fucking amazing 12th gen looked in both MVs. Especially Ogata because oh my god.....

First off, lemme get the Karin comment out of the way:
Seishun, she had ok amount, like a normal amount a decently not so shoved member would get, which at this point is fine.
Yuugere, there was a ton of her going on in the first half, which I was ehhh on, but she disappeared during the later half except for 1-2 more scenes so its ok.

Now, to the actual rest of it:
I love these PV >.> The dance looks great, the close ups are AMAZING, like I can't even single out anyone who did OK, I felt that they all looked amazing, including 12 gen. Albeit, Miki wasn't shown as much as the others imo, which might also explain why Karin got so many of the closeups I felt Miki/Kanon would've had (Miki was paired off with Kanon a few times I think, and I guess if Miki didnt do so well on the closeup, they probably gave it to Karin) But in the few that I saw her in, she looked good. Maria and Akane were working the camera almost as well as the other gen members in some of them, their expressions are stunning overall!
In Seishun, Erina and Kanon got the "dare zo" lines in the 2nd chorus, I almost didn't notice Eripon's cause it wasn't a mega closeup, it was just a dance shot, but aww man Kanon getting that pre-dance break dare zo is pretty big, makes it sadder that she wasn't here =/ (We still have the director's cut ver. right? Does that have Kanon in it? *crosses fingers on why they're taking so long on it is to catch Kanon in it*)
Yuugure, the cherry blossom closeups...omg, just 12 gen and literally everyone...just...stunning, I don't know, I really can't say that I was bored or I didn't like a particular thing about any part of these. The songs are amazing, the dance is great, a lot better than what it seemed to be like, and the girls look fantastic.

Also, overall, these PVs generally gave everyone a good amount of screentime. Like...watching Seishun, I almost really couldnt tell who was the ace or front members of the group just cause the dance formation changes so much and the closeups showed everyone looking awesome. Also in Seishun, is Ayumi the actual center of the song? She was in the center dance position a lot and it even ended with her at center. So proud of her =) It was still really shocking not to see these PVs full of Riho all over it like some of the previous PVs we've had (I remember Password is 0 being essentially Riho and some Oda and the rest) and the line distribution was definitely a lot more even (or atleast I felt like it wasnt just Oda and Riho singing solos then a bunch of unison lines, other girls actually got some solos and there were a good amount of duets so that it wasn't all unison lines).

Dances: Great
Songs: Fantastic
Closeups: Stunning
12 Gen: Rockin their screentime
Karin: Would've liked less but passable, at this point I'm just more disappointed Kanon missed out
Line distribution: Well spread (better than a handful of what we've been having recently)
Last note: This single is the total package. I just don't know what could be wrong (aside from Kanon missing) if this literally doesn't best their best '14 sale (Egao/Kimi no Kawari/What is Love w/ 149k first week 160k total)

I'm glad I was wrong about the PV productions, I enjoyed these music videos a lot. HARUNA LEADS THE DANCE AT ONE POINT AND I WAS SO PROUD.
I really didnt mean to be so harsh earlier, I was just sympathising with the Big Chance winner.

I hope Karin being featured so much is an elaborate April fools joke and they announce something on Hello Station later because even though I love her to bits, I hate how much she's featured in Yuugure.
Its an absolute joke....right?

I don't get how when Ayumi had an injury we had multiple versions of just one a-side but when it comes to Zukki we have to settle with just this one version of this setting with unnecessary Karin close-ups.
Less Karin, more actual members please. I didn't wait 6 months for a PV featuring Karin. They didn't even include any close-ups of Ayumi, but Karin gets close-ups because they want to make her a temporary member? Ugh this aint how its supposed to work. Also wassup with Karin having two different lengths of hair in Seishun? did they decide later to film her close-ups? Wth.

Yuugure really is up there as one of my favourite MM songs now, and that dance HAS become my favourite. There are just so many moments where I'm like: WOW that looks amazing. And here is 12th gen's focus moment, I'm satisfied now. I definitely feel like this song was made for Mizuki's voice. She's crossed a barrier singing that solo. It's got depth and feeling in it, which was something she didn't have much of before. I'd say this is a Maachan/Mizuki centered song, but Sakura and Riho are very close behind and Ayumi not far behind them. Oh also, I adore this PV, the obvious issue aside.

Seishun has a great dance as well. Akane looked really great doing it in the very beginning. I think Riho and Ayumi shine the most here, but they're all great. I can't wait to see the Big Chance version, as beautiful as this version is.

I was really about to complain that they took all of Harunan's solo shots out of the Seishun PV but then I saw she's center of the dance for like 30 seconds and a THAT'S NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE AND I'M OKAY NOW.



WHO DECIDED THIS? SHE HANGS OUT THERE SITTING BUT THEN SHE DANCES IN THE CENTER AGAIN BEFORE WANDERING AWAY. THIS IS NEVER HAPPENING AGAIN I'M FANGIRLING FOREVER.

So yeah, the first thing I can say is
WHAT THE ACTUAL EFF, UF*?!
I mean seriously. I guarantee you that if it was Kanon there and not Karin, half of those dance shots where Karin was prominently featured would have been from different angles. And, Karin had so many solos that I can't even can't on my hands how many she had. She had more than like, half the girls. and she had the more important "solo" spots, like right before the dance break (that's the solo shot i'm always looking forward to...). It doesn't help that Karin is like, my 2nd to least favorite girl in h!p, does it. xD

...and I also noticed that Haruna had that dance part! which is awesomeeee!

IT's only the end of the first chorus and she already has more solos than I can count. What the hell.

I'm surprised they didn't end it off with karin waving and lots of pink hearts around her.
Also, do we know her member color yet? It must have been announced at some point, too..

Other than that, the Mv's are great, and I love Yuugure so much *^*
Especially the dance break solo part when the instruments like, all stop other than 2 or 3 and the 12th gen is dancing (at around 3:00 into it...)... that part of the song is just, so amazing. <3

- I love it when they use those colorful digital holograms in the background, they contrast extremely well with their outfits!
- 12th Gen are absolutely stunning, they look like they've been filming MVs their whole life.
- The song is growing on me a lot
- WTF IS WRONG WITH THE SUBTITLES DURING THE TRANSITION BEFORE THE CHORUS???!!

Yuugure:
- Camera work and lighting are breathtaking.
- Mizuki. Need I say more?

I really like both songs a lot more than I did with Ima Koko Kara although Karin is really sticking out in a negative way (borderlining getting more shots than even Riho) what the hell UFP....

I'm so over this single and these two PVs.

This will be the first time since Help Me, that I will not buy Morning Musume's PVs.

I'm really upset by how everything was handled. The Big Chance video... The over the top amount of Karin.... I'm just done.
