Starting this April Chisato Moritaka (along with comedian Ken Watabe) will be MCing Fuji TV's new music show Suiyou Kayousai ( 水曜歌謡祭) which airs every Wednesday 8PM.

You know, I like that unlike all other H!P girls, she actually like the real thing like Freddie. Quite unusual for a Japanese girl even if Freddie and his mustache is popular in Japan.

Other H!P girls tend to listen -if they listen at all- the usual suspects of Pop music like Madonna, Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga, or boy bands when they listen to Western music. Of course, there are very few exceptions like Sayuki Takagi or (allegedly) Rikako Sasaki.

I knew about Moemi liking Queen and Freddie (and unfortunately likes of Christina Aguilera and Taylor Swift...she's a regular gal after all...), but to actually cover his song. I think I will actually start paying more attention to her now. The fact that she sang that English intro lines of Country Girls' song and sounding not half-bad AND has been doing guide vocals for H!P demo songs in place of Tsunku doesn't hurt, either. But why this song? It's one of more difficult Queen songs and it shows. This one seems to be a quite popular Queen song In Japan (I've seen numerous Japanese singers covering it and tons of covers from random Japanese folks on youtube)..
